Thank you

I cleaned up the desk the other day, and found some butterflies, and instead of putting them in a container for later use, I thought I might just use them, so when I do need a thank you card, one is already completed.  I used the gorgeous grunge for the splatter and sentiment  from another thank you. Added some hemp and it was done!

Now if I could just get started one some Christmas cards !

Happy Anniversary

They married seven years ago. It was probably the HOTTEST day in August. I remember that it well.  Running around to make sure all the decorations were still up and the gardens were prepped for the big day took place after hair, makeup and mimosa compliments of the brides mother!

I used the Night of Navy since it reminded me of  the dress I wore. Its still in my closet, since I know eventually, I will have a party to wear it again!

I used Very Vanilla with Expresso and alittle Crumb Cake with the First Edition DSP.

Here I am in my dress with a friend at the wedding. Can you see us sweating?

Stole this from the Brides FB page

Wow, I loved my hair like that too!

Flight of the Butterflies

When my other half received a graduation photo card (seems very hip this year) from his niece, I knew it wasn't going to be any ordinary graduation card I was to make. I was ready.. since I had this image in my head for a while.

I used the In Colors from 2010-2011 (which still are current), on white that was embossed, and then layered on black cardstock. I used rhinestones to jazz up the card in between the butterflies and on the top corner! I love the bling!!!

I used the Happy Greetings for the sentiment which seemed perfect in Concord Crush. Why did I pick the butterflies?  I love the way they add "freedom to do what you wish to do" for a grad!   I used the smaller butterflies to line the inside.

The daughter gave it two thumbs up and the other half said "I wouldn't give her anything less"... which I thought to myself... I know .. I wouldn't have let you! I am extremely happy with the turn out!

Have a great Friday!
