Vegan dinner Party Menu: 

Black bean burgers, Baked Mac, Roasted potatoes, Salad, Buffalo cauliflower pitas, homemade Ranch dressing, Spiced Carrot cake & brownies 

Why a Vegan Dinner party? A friend of mine has become a vegan (like just in the last 6 months or so)...and her husband lives/eats/survives as like a "viking". Meshing the two worlds to have alittle party. The party was a hit!

Pretty Pumpkin -found among the Halloween stamps

I am not sure when I created this card, but I found it when I was searching for my halloween stamps.. so if this is duplicate, my apologizes.   

I have a habit of making Halloween pumpkin with punch art. I like the look of them, since I can get the color I want & its pretty simple... its just time consuming. 

 

The swirl on the this card must have been a die I once had because I went searching for it and its not around. I like it though! 

 

I even managed to stamp the inside, with a roller! WAHOO! I was proactive when I did this design!

Happy Fall Y'all

Happy OCTOBER!!!! 

I put together some Fall/Autumn to send out to some of those relatives that we dont hear from very often as well as friends. Its nice to open the mailbox and see a card that someone has sent - I mean that is honestly why I keep doing this stuff! 

 

There is lots of retired product here - and I have no idea where the Autumn stamp is from - so I apologize in advance.  The pumpkin is circles and the leaves are from the build a blossom punch.  I used Lucky limeade and More Mustard cardstock (and ink) along with Chocolate Chip Ink.

Its the great pumpkin....

I am a gardener. I pride myself in all the fruits of my labor... and when I do not have good crop, it breaks me down.. its alot like parenting! ... only I get to eat the end results.. {thats just bizarre}... anyways.. I digress... I have been planting pumpkins for about three years.  Its been a joy! I can have my own great pumpkin - right in my own yard.  {insert Charlie Brown theme here}.

This year however, we have had so much rain over the growing season, that NOT ONE of my jack-o-lanterns  survived. NOT ONE!!! I have these really cute little pumpkins that we will eat {making dishes like Stuffed Pumpkin, or THIS }}.. mouth is watering now.. yes, I guess I am a foodie!   I am sure if I had this difficulty, then so did many other farmers.

So in the meantime, I get to have pumpkins via paper, but my search for the great pumpkin is on... I will attend a few fall festivals in the next few weeks to see what I get to carve this year...

I used the Stocking punch for the leaves, go ahead -look at the punch -  you will see it.. I know you will. Used my Oval punches for the pumpkins and my great attempt in the look of a old barn.  I used cardstock in the colors of Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Red Riding Hood, Cajun Craze.

Halloween Treat

I cannot really get into Halloween this year.. for whatever reason.. I am not grumpy about it - I just cannot GET the spirit.

I put these little baskets together for co workers, in the hopes of which some of the halloween spirit would flow.. but hey, there are still pumpkins to be cut and cider to be drank! In all due time may the spirit arrive!






I used the "box from the matchbox die to form the bottom of the pumpkin, which a small bag filled with candy corn {{ uuuuck!! }} fits perfect in there. I used the scalloped oval die for the pumpkin sides and the handles - just switched out the colors. I textured the pumpkin and sponged the outside.




I added the tag from Seasonal Sentiments, punched out with the small tag punch & attached with Old Olive ribbon - perfect and ready to go! .. well I might add a stem, in Old Olive, I am still debating...

CS: real rust (shhhh, its retired, but I wanted to use it up!), Old Olive & Espresso, Confetti White
Ink: Chocolate Chip & Markers = Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive

Its already November! I have lots of stuff to get completed by the time the BIG holiday rolls around!

First I must give thanks to the family and friends I have, and for the soldies that are all over doing their thing.

I love this card. Its simple and yet very seasonal...

It Pumpkin Pie base with Chocolate chip on top. I cut the leaves after I stamped them in Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede and Ruby Red.
