Luck of the Irish!

Irish Blessing
 Each petal on the shamrock
brings a wish your way
good health, good luck and happiness
 for today and everyday.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I used some retired SU paper, and some great photopolymer stamps that I have had for years to put this cute little Irish card together!  I used the Sketch Friday Frenzy Sketch and the Just Add Green challenge from Just Add Ink.

Though my daughter has a rugby scrimmage {May the luck of the Irish be with them}, and my son is off at drill for the day{May the spirit of the Irish rest upon them}, the 1SG & I will enjoy making some corn beef & cabbage together, then we can all gather around the table for a great Irish dinner! He will sip on Guinness & I some Jameson. I cannot wait! I cannot let my Irish man not have a traditional meal today...

Truly with Irish blood!

Top o' the morning to ya!

TOP o' morning to ya!
Today its little hats!
Of course, little hats means little leprechauns..{wink wink}

I used Garden Green with Celery (hat) and Daffofil ribbon for the hat made of  punches! Fun and easy!

I do believe the Krumb one is my favorite! I gather it was a few others since they were sitting at my desk and later in the day purchased from co workers for a few of their Irish friends!

So much for making 12 cards and getting them out - I have now moved to close to 25! ... But I love it!

I-RISH

My family hails more GERMAN, than others, but my mother swears we have some Irish hertitage in us as well.. nonetheless, I do not recall ever making a big deal about the holiday... maybe had a few Guiness with the friends after a day at the office, or made something alittle Irish for dinner.. but not much else.

NOT this year... OH HECK NO!.. we are pushing out 12 St. Patricks Day cards, and a few 3D items - and I learned that I will be seeing Henry Rollins on  the BIG DAY, this year! WAHOO!!!! I only know him from being in the Black Flag punk rock group.. and then I grew up, had kids... you know the drill, so I do not know much of what hes been up to lately!

I stumbled upon this blog - HERE and I knew I could do this... its using the Two Step Bird punch!  HECK she even gives the secret to keeping all the petals the same size... LOL.. {{ Yes this means, she gives instructions- so then I do not have to!!}}. I had to improvise some of the colors she used, since the lilac is retired, I used pale plum, but I still love what it did!

I really love this card. If I cannot duplicate it again, I am keeping it for me! LOL. I didn't have much for the holiday stamps, so I did use some funky fonts from the computer to print on the Whisper White.

Leave me some love... comments and you may later see a "pot o gold"... right?

Thanks for stopping by!

Luck of the Irish...

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

Whoa! St. Patty's celebrations came fast upon me this year, and caught me off guard! I didn't get the usual treats out that I like to. I did get the cooking and baking completed that the kids requested! (priorities, I know!)

Here is todays card I was able to whip up.. simple and clean.

Sentiment: "Each petal of the shamrock, brings a wish your way, good health, good luck and happiness, for today and every day."

Here is the pitcher that Lynn Pratt has created for your pleasure! It was fun to make and the possibilities are ENDLESS... think Beer... Kool Aid...Lemonade!!! My fiancee (deployed soldier) is receiving this - though, I do believe it will be past the holiday once he receives it.

Last is my little bucket, that I wanted to like a pot of gold.. but time didn't allow my finishing touches, so my dear daughter took a few minutes to put this ribbon on and snap a few pictures.
Its a simple little box, the gold is actually a peppermint egg... YUMMM YUMM!!!

My Irish toast to you!
May you be rich in blessings, poor in misfortune,
Slow to make enemies, quick to make friends.
But rich or poor, slow or quick,
May you know nothing but happiness from this day forward.
