Kitchen Nightmares...

As you know, I have been on the home renovation rollercoaster... which I am thinking is almost stopping... AMEN!! Its a 1948 ranch, with rooms that really aren't bedrooms, since there is no closet. Layers of flooring, and things that you cannot imagine.. but with all that nonesense behind me now... or so I hope.. Here is the kitchen, which I THINK {wink, wink} is completed. I must take a few better day light pictures to see the countertop better, but the idea is here...

Here is the 1940's countertop we found under the 1980's White/brown formica... this lady must have been treated like a queen...

Yes its red.. and the wall splash was these little tiny tiles that were PINK and WHITE.. oh man.

Painted three colors... no tops... what a time that was .. thank god it was only over night!!!

Making its first seen debute... the finished kitchen...

EDITED: I guess I should have put the wooden insert in before I took pictures, and put the dishes away.. ok, when I get the color of the counter top right... I will post again! Sorry!

So that is the kitchen--- I like it so much!!! I cannot wait to pull the green color from the kitchen to the dining room... all in good time!
