Pursuit of Happiness

When I was with my son Saturday, at his JROTC Raiders scrimmage, it was cold.... it was windy and I am talking 50 mph wind gusts. It was brutal! We adults couldn't believe we were huddled in our cars with the heat on but instead on metal bleachers cheering our sons/daughters on as they competed. The events were a physical fitness test (2-2-2 they call it = pushups for 2 minutes, sit ups for 2 minutes and a 2 mile run), then its off for first aid training and rope bridge. This started at 730am.

When we left, and begun to thaw out, I asked my son, what makes him thrive to do this kind of stuff. Since lets face it - some of those kids wined about the weather, while others did what they needed to do to bear the weather! He tells me, it give him great satisfaction to be a part of something that will prepare him for his future. WOW! That coming from the quiet son is alot! So I thought about it - hes in the pursuit of happiness!

Pursuit of Happiness

While at the lake, you cannot help but suck in some of the relax atmosphere... because when at the lake, act like those that live at the lake... and catching a few sun rises and sunsets were just a fantastic way to grasp the great world we live in. I actually had to take pictures when the storms rolled in- just because they are too awesome looking NOT to!

When I saw the opportunity to use the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set, I  used the Colour Q challenge to keep me OUTSIDE the sunrise/sunset colors I was going to use!

I do apologize for the lack of sight on the sentiment! I guess I didn't catch it while I was taking pictures. {still in need of that new Nikon as you can see!}  I added some chunky glitter to the butterflies, gives great shine!

"Everything will be okay in the end. If it isn't okay, it isn't the end."
I attemped some rock n roll technique here on the  Precious Butterflies that are in the inside. I then cut them out and attached them with dimensionals. I used Confetti White paper for the inside too.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a great day!
