OK so the last few weeks I have been alittle brain scattered... with school ending.. fathers day.. and then the farewell of my son for his basic training in the National Guard.... though I wish I could say the next 10 weeks will fly by, the last 3 days have been with a heavy heart. ...
So, here was Sunday morning...
Sibling love |
Waiting on the bus to arrive ... I made him take a few pictures... even though he said we had enough at his farewell luncheon.
I am so proud! |
Last, four of the people that attend the same high school as my son, they are departing the same day; different bootcamp areas. Two will continue to their AIT (school), while the other two return for their senior year (my son included)
See ya in September!
This morning as I cleaned up I decided I better get a few more fun cards out for him to receive - when I get his address.

I used the bright colors for this little monster guy.. we found him in Bisbee AZ in 2009, at a little gift shop called Sun Spirit Studio. {{sadly I do not see that there website is valid any longer}}. I used the May Paper Pumpkin stamp set for the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hug the ones you love!

Oh Chera, you are being a brave mom, I sent my son tons of cards during the summers he worked at Boy Scout camps for most of the summer from age 14, 15, 16. It was hard to see him go but so worth it in the end. I know they seem too big for the Mom cards and letters at the time, but they'll always remember and take job in knowing they were missed and loved. It's a great prelude to their going out on their own into the big world without mom's hovering. Be very proud of the both of you, hugs
Very cute card Chera, your son will definitely appreciate the happy mail while he is away at training camp. Thank you so much for sharing with us this week at the colourQ!
