Graduation time

When I first made two invitation samples, for one person little did I know I would  be using the both for two different people at two different schools and two separate ends of the country!
First one is now announcement with pictures inserted in the center, along with grad information.

Second is grad party invitation. All worked out great.  My gold & eggplant cardstock even has been reordered.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day

Graduation

Two weeks ago I was given the opportunity to get a few simple graduation cards. .

I used a lot of retired DSP paper. I had limited "graduation"  stamps to use - which meant I have to purchase more {wink wink}.

I wanted simple non gender cards, since I know only a handful of graduates this year, but it will get me started on next year, as my son graduates...

Using the Open Sea set, I created more of a college male grad card, for my stash.

And of course I had to use some letters, banners and fun texture.

Grad caps! - Bloggers challenge

Its getting to be that time again!

I used the caps I had leftover from last year... this came after cleaning out my retired stamps... and papers... and inks... whew, what a chore! {wink wink}...

I made a few fun ones for the "comedians" I know!

and splashes of color... for the artistic ones I know!

Tassle is worth the hassle!

... maybe worth the thousands of dollars of debt too.. but hey ITS OVER

My baby sister got her Masters! WOOT WOOT!!!
She managed this while working full time, supporting a household, and potty training her daughter!

Talk about celebration!

Her  graduation party was over the weekend.  We had gorgeous weather, at a local park, with lots of family, friends, food and fun!!!

Almost hard to imagine that it has been one year (to the day) that we put Princeton down, as you may remember HERE. It seemed very fitting for her to receive a solar lantern for her yard, that looks like Prince, a lot like this one here.  She loved it.  Of course we shed a few tears at the moment, but otherwise it was joyous occasion!!!

WAY TO GO AUTUMN!!
Now you have to figure out what you want to do as a grown up!

Its time for CAKE!

IF YOU ARE SCREAM-ISH ABOUT WOUNDS - PLEASE PAGE DOWN...

I am sorry I have been absent for a bit, besides celebrating the holiday 3 day weekend- I have been accident prone. To those that know me, I can be a klutz... but this week its been BAD!  Nothing too serious! .. but I am dangerous!  I was cutting up canteloupe on Tuesday night, May 24, and sliced my thumb... TO ME, I wanted to put a bandaid on it and call it a night- but to the other half (who inspected it well) it was a car ride to the ER, a tetanus shot and two stitches later going to be ok.... I hate it when hes right! {{wink wink}} Its on a part of your thumb in which holds everything - it sits on the desktop when you are using a mouse, its just a bad bad spot. Plus I use this hand with scissors... UGH!!!!

This was  Wednesday morning, I removed the stitches by Monday May 30 myself, it was just annoying!

In the meantime, I have to get some graduations gifts completed. I wanted to make something different for the boys, and I knew they would love this - since they really could east it!

I only hot glued the two styrofoam circles together, after I put cardstock on them. Everything else has medium sticky dots on them, so you can eat the chocolate.

I am convinced the I may have to stick these numbers up - some little strips of cardboard, for a better appearance. With only really only having limited use of the right hand - I figured I would try this first, then pop them up! {{when my thumb was up to it!}}

Top view - and I really had a fun time making this! I did imagine other candies that you could use for this project too!

Thank you for stopping by!

Hug the ones you love!

Have a great day!
