Colorful Great Friend

Its a Scrappy day... I have had some butterflies sitting in my basket for a while now and though they come in handy, I was alittle tired of seeing them there... does this happen to anyone else but me? I grabbed some coordinating scraps from the stash - and punched out squares to put the butterflies on. Its was very fast and easy... especially since the butterflies were already cut out!

The picture doesn't show the embossing that I did on the white cardstock before putting it all together. However, the recipient will appreciated it. I used the medium oval punch for the Happy Birthday from Vintage labels, tied it on with linen thread off the Daffodil Delight ribbon. I like the way it all came together.

Pretty in Pink

One of my all time favorite movies is PRETTY IN PINK - 1986, and yes I was old enough to watch it and understand it, and LOVED IT.. still do! So everytime I see the SU! Pretty in Pink colors- I am reminded of this movie. If you haven't seen it.. Its great, check your local listings and I am sure it is on TNT or TBS sometime in the near future.. It always is... but I degress.. I loved that Molly Ringwald made her clothes. She didn't care what the latest trends were, she did her own thing. I loved Duckie, played by Jon Cryer, who I had friends like, but didn't realize it until after high school. We cannot forget the bad boy/heartthrob Andrew McCarthy... he was awesome.. oh and James Spader who played that rich boy... OK OK ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!...

So I look at these colors and I am reminded of a movie, and long story short, this Color Combination just spoke PRETTY IN PINK movie to me...

Great Friend, Great Big Flower

Again, when searching for mojo ... I search thru all sorts of magazines... I happened to not put the Stampin Success back where its suppose to go, and saw something like this.

Here is todays card:

Though the magazine had a stamped image on the Hunter green, I used a textured plate from the Big Shot. I wanted it to have more depth. The flower is in More Mustard and cut from the Flower Folds die. Adding a clip on the top for the ribbon, and then a brad on the bottom, I am quote happy with the simple yet lovely card!

Blooms to Butterfly

The warm weather melted our snow and I am not unhappy about this, however I am wishing now for springtime.. I like to plant my veggie garden and the blossoms of my flowers around the house. It makes the place seem alittle more alive.

The butterflies here represent that as well. I cut them out and embossed them with clear embossing. I bent them before I glued them down to pop when the owner of the card opened the envelope.
