Early Blue Pizzaz.... {insert witty title here}

Last night before dinner, I was listening to the 13 yo talk on the phone about what to wear on picture day. I heard her say "Seriously? You are going to wear that and have what color background?".. it was followed by this look of disgust and then she says "OK, well I think you need color coaching...".. which was enough to make my belly laugh and then get busy on the latest Color Combo by Picture Perfect Creations.

When my daughter finished her call, and arrived in the craft cave she said "NO WAY A PINWHEEL! I LOVE THOSE THINGS- DOES IT MOVE?" ... I had to tell her that I was gluing it on the cardbase and not going to spin, but we could make one that did if she liked for her own enjoyment. Somehow it must have sounded like 'work' or chore, she shook her head and left the room shortly.

Avenged Amy (Canadian SU! Consultant) has a video here, but they are everywhere on the net.
I did make a few more, in different sizes. I wanted to tear this a part and redo it alittle bit, but I like the simple side of this - so maybe I will keep it like this... who knows.
Before my daughter left this AM for school, I asked about her friends outfit for today and she said "She cannot wear a orange shirt and have a purple background, Mom, she will look like Halloween everytime someone opens the year book".... Enough said I guess...

O MOTHER OF PEARL!!!!

When I found these cute little pearls, I didn't know what I was going to do with them... and then I sat on them for a long time. I tried to use some for the christmas mistletoe, and then it dawned on me that I needed to use them for 'pretty cards'. So here is my first attempt at a pretty card..

You cannot see the little holes on the scalloped edge, nor do you see the texture on the burgundy color CS. I like it.

Maybe the "Best is yet to be"

Cherish the Chocolate!

When it comes to matching Chocolate with other colors, rarely would I go with Yellow... but after four cards, I think I like it. I used So Saffron, so its not like YOYO yellow, or SUNSHINE yellow, its a softer look. I made these cards, with a few of the girls, as part of a 6 cards and a card box series for Saturday. I did three techniques, a punch card, layer card , eyelet or brad card and then the tall card box. I liked them, and some of them are me... stepping out of the "box".. ha ha

Tile Technique

Last night, while 'winding down' from a beautiful day here in PA, I thought I would try to put together something that I have been meaning to do. I have been wanting to try different techniques that look much more complicated than they truly are. I will be using this for my little workshop over the weekend. I first used glossy cardstock, which I liked the idea of the tile on the glossy finish, but didn't care for it. Then I tried on just regular cardstock, and I think I like the look better. I am not sure I will sponge the image, to give the grout look, but I might, I have limited time to play with it.

Thanks for looking!

Cherish

I had a blast making this card. I got to use a stamp set that I see all over the place, but do not own personally. This card opens to the right- that Close to Cocoa flap DSP is on the entire back, and is home of the ribbon. I am happy with the outcome. I used it as an ALL OCCASION swap I recently did.

CS- Cool Caribbean, Close to Cocoa DSP
Stamps- Baroque Motifs
Ink- Close to Cocoa, Cool Caribbean
Ribbon- Cool Carribean
Ice spickles glitter, corner rounder punch.

Thank you for looking!
