Who doesn't love Chocolate? 

I am a fan!  A big fan.

If you are a follower, you may remember, I did a Chocolate Covered February last year for 14 days. I got the idea from Hershey, who does Chocolate Covered February for an entire month.

May this is why I love Chocolate so much??? Who knows.. but I contain myself. I do sometimes have to stop the BLT (bite, lick, taste) of all the chocolate I see, but the temptation!!! OH MAN!!

Nonetheless, I have put together a little chocolate card - that is 'heading' places with some chocolate.. homemade candies actually, but they have chocolate on them, so I am certain they will be a hit!

The light really does stink, my apologizes. I wanted to get the boxes out, for enjoyment, so I am sorry I didn't take more time with the photos. 

The colors are Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake. I used some of the glitter paper leftover from Christmas, which fits perfect for something like this. I used the Decorative label punch, and the Blossoms Petal builder punch. I added some bling on the label, it went too well along with the glitter paper.

Day 7...Wine and Chocolate -- OH MY

I didn't think I met a more perfect wine, until I was introduced to DESSERT WINE... CHERRY .. THEN RASPBERRY .. OH MY GOSH!!! Whats the best part of the dessert wine? YOU ARE TO DRINK IT WHILE EATING CHOCOLATE!!!!!  OK, I am sold, I left the winery with 2 bottles of dessert wine, and a few of the others.. no more convincing needed on my end... I was sold! 

It makes the perfect little gift! Alittle dessert wine, some kisses ... yummy yummy! The next best thing would be if it all was calorie free!...

The wine listed below is from BLACK STAR FARMS, they are located in/or just outside of Traverse City, Michigan. Though I will not receive commissions {{darn!}} or anything special from them, I really just enjoy their wine... since I have been there three times, its safe to say I might know what I am talking about. ... {{wink wink}}.

It was extremely difficult to photograph these darn bottles... the test tube as well.  Sorry for the glare.

Inspiration in Action Challenge 125

Inspiration in Action... thank goodness I could finally get the beginnings of this card off my desk! I wanted to make Curry with Chocolate... you know just to see how long it would take me to use the colors until I was satisfied with it. It did take some work to get the pattern the way I wanted it, but the outcome is great!

Give Thanks

Its already November! I have lots of stuff to get completed by the time the BIG holiday rolls around!

First I must give thanks to the family and friends I have, and for the soldies that are all over doing their thing.

I love this card. Its simple and yet very seasonal...

It Pumpkin Pie base with Chocolate chip on top. I cut the leaves after I stamped them in Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede and Ruby Red.

Its a treat!!!

As I mentioned before, getting myself used to using some DSP has taken me some time. I can honestly say I use it more with 3D items than I do cards. For whatever reason. I am getting better. I know I am. Its take some time. Last night I decided that I need to make some treat bags to have on hand for a "thank you","thinking of you", "you are appreciated" sort of moment. You can put a "fun size" bar in them.... customizing to the person you are giving them to! They were FUN FUN FUN and EASY!... two things I love!

Again I used the retired Parisan DSP, since its alittle more masculine, in case I needed that as well. Here are the 6 I made, using the different side and coordinating colors.

Its beginning to look alot like...

VALENTINES DAY!!!

I am hopeless romantic- I like all the stuff we laugh about.. splashing in raindrops, long walks on the beach, splitting sandwiches at the bistro and delis....all of it. I have learned over the years, that is more about what I can give others than what I get in return... sounds like a lesson I should have learned at another time.. but I digress....

I got the chance to stamp this weekend - it was my me time that I was very happy about. Just do not ask what time that was happening! It was nice to get the fingers inky - and boy let me tell you I was happy to get some old rubber out and play. I wanted some valentines for the office crew, different ones for the kids and a very special one for my love of my life. I didn't get the one for the love of my life completed, and got the sketches done for the kids, who would rather have chocolate, so I had to incorporate it as well... I got the ideas, now I have to make sure I have the CS to complete. Here are some of my goodies!

OH DEER!!!!

Its deer season and of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try this triangle box. The trickest part was those darn antlers! I has alot of fun making these and will be making more. What you cannot see is the crystal effects that I used on the noses, and the eyes. I switched out the red ribbon for the black ribbon before I gave them away. I thought they made great gifts that were holiday oriented, and recently heard that they are being used as gift car holders for a xmas gift for another relative... I filled them with 4 PB cups and 4 kisses. They all fit and were enjoyed!

When it comes to matching Chocolate with other colors, rarely would I go with Yellow... but after four cards, I think I like it. I used So Saffron, so its not like YOYO yellow, or SUNSHINE yellow, its a softer look. I made these cards, with a few of the girls, as part of a 6 cards and a card box series for Saturday. I did three techniques, a punch card, layer card , eyelet or brad card and then the tall card box. I liked them, and some of them are me... stepping out of the "box".. ha ha

10 minutes until Greys start....

So there was about 10 minutes until Greys Anatomy started and needed a few simple birthday cards for my stash at my desk at work. You know there are birthdays that we don't always have the time to create cards for so I thought.. ok - you got some new rubber, take a moment and just do it! So I did. Here is one that I didn't a chance to take a picture of the inside until I gave it to her, then I needed to sneak a picture of it while she was away from her desk... oops! LOL!!!
