Party hearty!!!

Wow, sorry for the neglect... it was a crazy end of week, last week. We unexpectedly left to help a fellow soldier out with some home repairs in North Carolina. Since upon his return from yet another OIF tour, he is left with a few medical conditions that are serious.  So we played road warrior and jumped in to help where needed.

The family was delighted with the outcome of new railing on their back deck & ramp, then adding the accent lights.. it was like Ty Pennington made a visit.

We learned a birthday was to be had for one of the family members, while were there so after getting my overnight bag packed, I put together a quick card to give to him.   I mean, real quick like the ink took longer to dry because it was that quick!

I used Everthing Nice with the retired Tropical Oasis DSP paper. I used the small oval punch for the balloons (colors in the DSP) and a silver pen to make the strings. I popped out the balloons and the EAT CAKE sentiment in another color.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hug the ones you love!

Thank a soldier when you can!

Silly one eyed monster

I enjoy making little silly monsters with my punches...for another example see my post here.

I am not familar with this TV show but I have seen the characters of Yo Gabba Gabba! They make me laugh, so I am sure for Nick Jr these are just as fun for the kids!! A friend of mine, mother of a small child- who she probably enjoys the show more than the child - loves this YO GABBA GABBA... I made MY version of a character for her birthday card!

My Yo Gabba Gabba character... who I haven't named yet....

Seriously - if you do just look at the charcters - there is sooooo much you can do with them - for fun birthday cards... I cant wait!

Ingredients: Cardstock: Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Whisper white, Early Espresso, Black (inside the eye- which didn't photgraph well)
Punches: Large Star, 3 inch Circle, 1 inch circle, 3/4 circle, 1/4 circle, window punch
Black felt tip pen
Stamps: dots from retired SU! Birthday set, Everything nice (Celebrate)

Thanks for visiting!

CELEBRATE

Last night I was in the DIVA mood... checked out the Utah Divas and found this:
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MAN!!!! LOOKS YUMMY!!!!
I really love this color challenge. Maybe I really love the chocolate/ caramel apples on the picture... oh soooooo yummy. I really love the Concord color, though I haven't used much of it. And why are all the new colors named after foods? No wonder I want to snack when I stamp!!

Before I hit the cabinet for a snack - here is my card:

Inking up new rubber is always fun too! Here is one of the EVERYTHING NICE stamps. Look how much use you can get out of it! I think you will see alot of this too -- or pieces of it anyways!

I used the Chocolate Chip 1 1/4 striped ribbon for the bud, and put large pearl in the center. (this bud was made with CS and sticky strip & then twisting the ribbon around the CS until the desired shape formed). I also used the Chocolate Chip CS as alittle layer below the Very Vanilla, and used the Scallop trim border.(which you cannot really see here).

Ingredients:
Stamp: Everything Nice
Ink: Chocolate Chip
CS: Concord Crush, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Pearl, Chocolate Chips 1 1/4 stripped ribbon, scallop trim border punch

Now I am off to make Apples.... some kind of apples.. man those are yummy looking!
