Color Dare Challenge 64

This was a fun challenge.. two reasons - I just love these flowers pins in her hair & its bright and I haven't ever used Summer Sun, for more than scrapbooking!

Here is my take on the Color Dare Challenge

I haven't used Pocket Silhouettes in a while, so I added some sponging (old Olive) to the circle (Vanilla) and used the Summer Sun & Certainly Celery ink with the stamp set. The card base is Old Olive, and I layered the other colors before popping up the circle.

Thank you for visiting!

Go ahead, play along with the Color dare Challenges, sometimes it pulls you "out of the box" and gives you a different outlook on the colors!

Cards for Troops

In celebration of Americas birthday, I have decided that I would put a box together for the Troops. There are quite a few organizations that gather cards for the troops, send them overseas (to loads of places) for all service members to have at their disposal. Its a great cause and honestly what does it hurt. I know that simple is better then the weight of the card is light enough - postage wouldn't be an issue. So ... I started some card making... and the purpose of them is for the troops... all kinds, holidays included. I just couldn't wrap my arms around Christmas in July, but I will soon.

Thank you to all the service members (present and past) that have made this country what it is today... bless you!
You wish to donate to the cause as well- here are two sites that I am familiar with -
Hope your Fourth was spectacular!

Friendship means the world to me

One of the best things in life, is the friendships we have. Those that we have only just begun and those that we have had for years - it doesn't matter, all the same. They keep us in check with who we are and have become and even when they let us down, we bounce back. Sometimes, even when there is distance, you can still pick up like you were never apart.

I have a friend from HS who has arrived to the state for her sisters wedding. I will get to see her on Saturday, and though its been over a year since I saw her, and it was like 13 years before that, we always manage to pick up from where we left off. In leu of that occasion, I wanted to put together a little gift... Here is my card for her. I am still trying to figure out what exactly to put together for her, since she lives in AZ now, with two kids, I am thinking I will come up with something, afterall, I have until Saturday to complete!

5 petal punch with textured paper, crumbled and pressed out, rhinestone in the center.

Still one of my all time favorites - Pocket Silhouettes, they are so versatile!
Why purple? .... we are suppose to dye my hair that color! I cannot wait!
Thanks for looking! Have a fabulous day, but trry to stay cool, its going to be a scorcher here in PA!
