Life is a matter of Moments...

....My moment happened over the long holiday weekend, when the realization that in a matter of less than 20 days, I may be able to see, touch, smell, and hug my other half !!!! I couldn't contain my excitement .. but at almost midnight, it was just me and my cardstock! ...

So yes, Life IS a matter of moments...

Its CASED from the SU! 2010-11 IB&C, page 107, however I didn't use the stamp sets that it did, I did my own thing! I used the Elements of Style (Summer Mini) for the Butterfly and the sentiment.

I love the satin ribbon, I can tie it and retie it, if I need to and not have the impressions of my last knots... yeah!!!! I like the idea of the pin, with the flower attached to it, however, I may have stuck myself twice getting it into place!

Color Dare Challenge 64

This was a fun challenge.. two reasons - I just love these flowers pins in her hair & its bright and I haven't ever used Summer Sun, for more than scrapbooking!

Here is my take on the Color Dare Challenge

I haven't used Pocket Silhouettes in a while, so I added some sponging (old Olive) to the circle (Vanilla) and used the Summer Sun & Certainly Celery ink with the stamp set. The card base is Old Olive, and I layered the other colors before popping up the circle.

Thank you for visiting!

Go ahead, play along with the Color dare Challenges, sometimes it pulls you "out of the box" and gives you a different outlook on the colors!

Sweet Stems - Punched

I love when I need to relax alittle and head to my craft cave, and though I need this "me" time, my 12 yo needs "mom" time. Well not really "mom time" in which I thought it meant spending time with me, it was actually vent time.. "Mom, can you please listen to this.. "or "Why would they did do that?"..... or my favorite "I wish she would stop calling me..." For the first part of the conversation, I give her the full body attention she wants... then as the story goes on and on, I slowly start putting my thoughts to paper in which she will say "Oh you can do that while I talk"... which ultimately means she will critic my work, while she chats about what friends are doing, or teachers, or whatever is on her mind... this is her version of "me time with mom"... and her brother cannot comment since we are in the cave and he is elsewhere in the house battling with soldiers to win another war type game on the Xbox (or am I to say 360? I never say it right. ha ha) We have this pattern down, where she even knows when I am looking for scissors, adhesive, ribbon, and merely gets up and walks around to get them for me, and I remain seated... but if I mutter ONE WORD... ONE SIGH... ONE LOOK .... the conversation is over. Good thing some of the 'talks' are etched in my brain so if I am quizzed later, I remember, only the highlighted areas...so I have learned.

Just when you thought you couldn't....you can multi task with a babbling 12 yo girl, that is my last thought for you today!

So todays card... Sweet stems... I do not have this stamp set (which is now retired) but at some point, I stamped a bunch of the flowers off, and kept them for later. I didn't actually use the Stamp set, I made a set of the flowers from the SU! 5 petal punch. I am pleased with the turn out. Check it out!

I incorporated the Card Positioning System Challenge 155.

Ingredients:
CS: Celery, Pomegranate, White, Kraft
SU! Textured BS plates - dots on White, and swirls on Pomegranate
Half pearls, dimensionals, Stem from 2 step bird punch

Three for Thursday...

Don't you just love this color? Its Bayberry! It reminds me of summer. It picks me up when I am down. Its makes me laugh. It just loves me... Its so versatile!

I made some notecards the other day. Cards that are blank that I can slip in my stash at the office for any occasion or tie up with ribbon for a quick gift.

Its the 5 petal punch with Whisper White. The scalloped edge punch also in Whisper white, added some Bayberry ribbon to the Basic Black layer, popped the flowers on and compete! I did use my Mat pack and pierced the flower inside. For the inside, I colored white brads Bayberry with a marker.

I did it again with Certainly Celery.

And Elegant Eggplant

Nice group of cards. I wanted to use the Celery and Eggplant since I haven't touched them in a while.

Have a great day!
