Way to Go Wil - photo card

Baseball... Americas pasttime..

I love the game! I love hearing the crack of the ball hitting the bat... and not to mention how it gets me started on my farmers tan! My son has played ball since he was a wee teeball guy and as we enter into the 14-15 yo division, I realize that as serious as I am about the sport, because I love it, it could all be over just that fast. Please do not think I am the parent that pushes the kids to be in every sport, because I am not. They are "one sport a season teens" and Wil just took a huge liking to Baseball - which wasn't hard for me to grasp.

I understand that these spring moments when we are all bundled under blankets watching games like its football season may end all too soon. He will head to high school and may find other interests in which he would like to try. Mom will survive. HA HA.

In the honor of that, I did my first photo card. I used Brillant Blue CS(will be retiring soon); Starring you stamp set, made the baseball with a circle punch and marker and then used the Big Shot for the letters of Wil and CV!

Thank you for stopping by!

Clean Simple Man

Did you think this was going to be blank?

Were you expected a hot steamy babe here?

Or are you under the impression there is no such thing as a

"Clean Simple Man"?

Now that I have your attention, here is todays card:

Ingredients: Stamp: Starring You (which is on the SAB list & in Big Catty); CS: Shades of Spring, Garden Green, Black, Vanilla; Ribbon- Celery; Ink: Garden Green; Others: Scallop Edge punch, Circle punches (1 1/2 & 1 3/4), Dimensionals

Here is a closer look at the ribbon that I just overlaped (sneaking some glue dots in the ribbon layers) and then used Sticky Tape to hold the ribbon down all together.

Thanks for stopping by! ...

***AS FOR A "CLEAN SIMPLE MAN"
... LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS SUCH A THING, WOULD YOU PLEASE? ***

Cards n Things Sketch Challenge 17

Here's the sketch Challenge that Cards N Things has for this week. I found it particularly a challenge since 1) i never do sqaures on a card, since my ability for squares is found with punches, and 2) I didn't have a idea of what type of card to make.

After sitting in my craft cave for a while I thought of two things I never seem to have - masuline cards & graduation. What a challenge! But I made it and I am quite happy with the turn out.

I used Burgundy CS as my base, since I overlook this color most of the time. I used the SU Texture Polka dots plate on the Sahara CS, which isn't visible here but IRL it is. I used the WAY TO GO from the "Starring you" stamp set, perfect for the card. My gold brads are so under used, and though I would have liked to use something else, this just seemed to put the touches on the card.

Starring You is one of the catalog sets you can get for FREE, during the Sale a bration period (which is now thru March 31), when spending $50.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Wednesday!
