You mean the world to me...

It wasn't but a few days ago that I was able to get back into my craft cave. It was a mess... not because I left it that way {{wink wink}} but someone thought decided to use it as their temporary man cave... with hunting gear, camo clothing, and things I do not know what they are but I didn't want to touch.

Its funny since he is an artist as well. I know how he gets about his charcoals, pencils, paints, and heck his drawing table - so I did snap a few cell phone pictures of his mess on my crafting area, and then had my teens photoshop my stuff on his desk... talk about FREAK OUT! ... so eventually he was able to get his gear back into places and I had atleast a table to use again.

In the meantime, I  grab the scraps and put together this little card ... that ended up in his briefcase for his business trip this week.

The little Make a Monster set is one of my go to's with him, since he sketches out little ugly guys all the time. It was just alittle fitting for me to add this guy - and pretty him up into a her!

I used the colors from the Colour Q. I had the best intentions of getting it linked before closing but that didn't happen. It happens to all of us I know!

Have a great day!

Bubblegum thoughts...

PlayDate Cafe

I spent the weekend camping with the family, and while it was great fun, I kept invisioning this color challenge .. from settin up the tent to the food we ate, and the activities we did... amazing right? I wanted to get this bubblegum color down... and then there was that navy strip... man I kept racking my brain... lots of scribbles on my notebook...

Navy...Bubblegum...Leaf Green

 Then I get home, and unpack, and settle to the craft cave... and I cannot get anything down I like. I changed the stamp set, ... nope. I changed the cardstock colors... nope.  I finally settled on this.. and though its not exactly what I wanted.. its fine.

I still need to change the bulbs in my lights... why can I know remember that?

GO PLAY AT THE PLAYDATE CAFE!!!!!

Save the date!

Please note that the verbiage on the following is only showcasing the "Save the date" - therefore it may not be accurate material. I hope that I do not get phone calls from my mother saying "I had to find out from the internet that you are getting married?"  .. so please... though I really want 11.11.2011 as my date to be married, I cannot rush. It is however our anniversary of our first date and it has a nice ring to it... yes?...  These things take time... and money... since that may be what it takes to get his butt half down the aisle.  {wink wink}
Without any further adue:

 I hope for life to let me get back to stamping - since my thumb is healing well! Thank you all for your well wishes and tips on taking care of it. Its still very tender but at least I can temperarily hold on to scissors.

I have looked at the Last Chance items that are good until 30 June... and though I look forward to the new catty, I am losing some of my 'go to' stamps, which is sad.  I just hope that more favorites come my in the new catalog.

Full of Life

Do you have teenagers? Or even children in general?  Then you know that life is different EVERY SINGLE DAY!  With the end of school nearing, it makes for more bizarre behavior, activities that make my head spin and crazy weird assignments that just seem to be the "norm" for them... and for me... well after all these years, I am adjusting. My oldest is a freshman in high school, so I have been learning all the ins and outs of the high school... thankfully, its been a positive experience. He decided to join the JROTC program and its been a blessing in disguise. Its not only brought him out of the little shell hes been in but its give him a greater outlook on life... like there is more to the world then video games {can you imagine??? LOL}.

So todays cards is my way of honoring the fact that my little hermet is leaving the shell... not literally, but seeing that is light out there.... maybe even get him a job over the summer.... but we wont push it!

 Color Throwdown Challenge 141 suited the card perfectly! Thank you Girls!

AND  I used the BIG SHOT TOP NOTE die - for the first time! {{gasp!!}}

Thank you for letting me tell you about my son - since otherwise, I would get the "M-O-M! REALLY?" with his head looking down and smurk on his face! Dam teenagers anyways! FULL of surprises!

Have a great day!
