I didn't get to show off my little bunnies for Easter.  They were liked by the Teens a lot! Of course, having Gift cards in them - what not to love!  

 

I used the same bunny with the different In Colors, this makes the mass production line go faster! 

 

 I don't know which is my favorite, however I do believe they all kinda represent the personalities of the teens which received them!

PDCCC35 - Easter

 

I wanted to get one challenge in this week - since tasked with making more Easter cards than I ever remember... but it was fun. I used the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch to complete a few cards. I used a retired set and papers since I am purging as well!

 I also made quite a few of these Bunny Behind cards, since I can use them as a masculine card! They are easy! and Fun!!!

SSSC180- Lilacs

 

The lilacs have returned! I have to tell you that I was a little leery to make these again, since I really fell in love with them the first time here. Its been almost 2 years...time flies!   

 

These lilacs are made different, using the Itty Bitty punch, and in Perfect Plum & Eggplant cardstock. I used a flower stem from Raining Flowers and then adhered the punches with MonoGlue. I then added some Stickles to the centers!

 

I didn't add a sentiment. If and when it goes out, I may.  

The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge let me put this together pretty quickly after the lilacs were all punched and dried.

RS55/ SUO66- Spring time Flowers

   

Ok, so here it is, my first attempt of stamping posies from retired  SU! Fifth Avenue Floral and coloring them on vellum.

I used Stazon ink, and then filled in with a paintbrush and Primrose Petals ink, then cut out. I then used some Stickles for the inside. I punched a butterfly in vellum then layered it on Glossy White cardstock.  Its my take on the Retro Sketches layout.

Keeping in mind that I wanted to use the Craft Dash challenge, and it has to be under 10 minutes. So I knew I was going to be close, since cutting out those flowers was a time eater! 

 

Time 9:48 - whew!

so Cute

I got alittle crafty before listening to MacFarlane open the Oscars last night... Its not exactly as I had planned, but I like it. I have been looking at the color challenge from Fab Fri, for almost 2 weeks... so I finally just buckled down and attacked it! 

Using a bunny & the sketch challenge from Friday Mashup! was alittle more difficult, since I didn't think I had any non punch bunnies in my stash... but this little guy from So Cute (retired)  fits the bill!

Definitely Daffodil

When I was out shopping for my son's trip, which he leaves Friday for, I couldn't help but think.. 

I can make a daffodil

... Just one...simple and yet ....enough. I was distracted with my  thoughts I am sure that there are items I will need to pick up tonight to make up for my absent minded... but honestly, .... 

They turned out pretty good! 

I then googled to see what others did in comparison, Jackie Topa is the closest to what I did, and she is just fabulous! Great minds!  


I used the Lucky Limeade as my greens and card base, layered Bashful Blue & Whisper White. Pierced along the top in threes, added pearls on the Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon, and stamped Happy Easter just above. 

The inside sentiment reads:

Easter flowers and parades

a bunny hopping by,

jelly beans and chocolate eggs

a basket piled high. 

May you have a happy spring 

and blue skies up above,

may your Easter overflow

with family, friends and love.

Two cards....EGG- cellent!

Its been such a nice weather week, I have been busy on the outside, and dearly slacking on the inside. Its that time of year, so I get a "pass". I did sneak in a few Easter cards - simple - so I could get them in the mail in the next week.

They are the same card, but one is simple and the other is stepped up a notch.  I went alittle crazy with glitter!

I used the Tastful Trims (Big Shot die) for the grass (Celery) & Ricrac (Melon);Butterfly embosslit (Big Shot) in  Melon & Peach Parfait and embossed the Natural White , I hand cut my ovals; you can Google templates, from Wisteria a dear friend sent me some new rubbah, in which I used the Easter Blessing sentiment.

HAPPY SPRING!!!!

ITS SPRING TIME!!! OFFICIALLY!!!!

I know its been acting like spring weather wise since the beginning of March, at least here it has.

So when you think Spring, you think....?

Baseball?

Gardening?

BBQ's.

Ahhh yes, and the lovely Daffodils that are springing up everywhere!

I love the simple and clean looks this has. I used the 2 3/4 circle for the front of the card, and then stamped my image on another piece and popped it behind the opening. I colored the Simply Soft with markers. I used the Daffodil DSP to layer over the bottom and added Ribbon. Adding the pearls to the card added some nice but they seem to get lost in the designer paper.

Tulip time

I know its Spring when my tulips are up & blooming. I walked around the house and noticed the daffodils that seem to only be open in a moments notice. With the warm weather at the moment, I hope they stick around alittle longer but in the meantime, its also tulips time!

As you are aware, I am alittle bit of a flower gal. Though more on paper than in my yard. Not because I cannot grow them, only because I want them to be more "hardy" then they are.

I picked colors that I do have in my garden to put this frame of tulips together. I love the different reds, which I used, Real Red and Poppy Parade, mixed it in with Daffodil Delight and Pink Pirouette. They all have Wild Wasabi stems.

I used the 5 petal punch and cut off two petals, folding the single petal up towards the other two. Its very simple, just punch one and take a look! Using the new framelits I made two and used dimensions then put my tulips in between them.

I love the look! I love my tulips!
