Color Throwdown 140 Scraps

I know this is shocking! I gather that  many of you may have thought I may never scrapbook, but its all about timing.. time that seems to slip by but I still try it out... I have another favorite picture that I wanted to scrap for a long time. This one is in antique finish, so it would need special attention.  I wanted the colors to have a smooth feeling to it. I thought of making it leather vintage looking but I am good with this take on it.

I  wanted little details, and I think with this layout I got not only the color but the perfect layout too!

National Scrapbooking Day

It would really embarrassing to admit how many times I have tried to scrap this picture. I mean its been so many that finally I had to print more out. Well I figured today is the day!

Here is it is:

I used the layout from the Sketch Friday Frenzy

I love this picture for mulitple reasons. I hadn't cut my hair short in about 10 years - or more, and in between the bridal visits to the salon, I did this AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE BRIDE DIDN'T FREAK OUT! We did the family shower a few weeks before and my hair was long, so then the sassy cut is in her Girls night out pictures!! My natural curl flipped my hair so my "bed head" - "night after partying hair" wasn't too bad! It was a great time!  Love ya Erin!

Sweet Cousins

My sister had a baby almost 2 years ago.. so finally, my children have a cousin. Heck, I have a niece I get to spoil.

Here were some shots of them, mainly for portraits for the family, but with two teens and a toddler... its not likely to go very well!

Here is page 2, of the cousins. They are simple layouts, as I am getting warmed up! Its been alittle long for me to scrapbook. During my weekend I was happy to be able to get some work like this done. With the wind & rain that was beating down the door, it seemed the best way to
utilize my time.

Scrappin my Erin

Ok, so I haven't scrapbooked in forever... and I do not mean forever as in.. months, I mean years. I tried to see that last thing I actually scrapbooked, and located some of my sisters wedding... September 2006.. YIKES!!! I know now that I have to get back into a few pages here and there... just to get it done, afterall I do enjoy it...

So, no better way to get my scrappin groove back - but then to take a few fabulous pictures of my darling friend Erin, and showcase them!

The page is very simple. I used the dots/circles that were on the sentiment that I wanted to use. I used the colors also in the sentiment to carry out on the page.

Two views of the one page, but I couldn't get any picture of it perfect.. sorry!

Did you think I could stay away long???

I shouldn't be awake, but I am. I am wishing to finish a project that I started about a week ago, but honestly do not have the energy. HOWEVER, I did want to share some of the pics of it with you.

This is a paperbag scrapbook. I know what you are thinking... how in the world is that possible? Well, let me tell you, it was easy. You can modify it to your liking, and decorate as you wish. These lunchbags (brown- its what was in the cabinet) are smaller than the normal type. I think they are perfect for peanut packaging, but I doubt that is what I was doing with them. You stack the bags on top one another, alternating the bottom and top, fold over and tie off with ribbon. Basically, its decorate and go.

Side view, with one of the bags open, There is a piece of CS in the bag portion that also gets to be used.

This is the front... I lack a few items here, so its not the finished projects
