Little Friend Basket -SAH177

I haven't made 3D items in forever... and now I need one... so I found this perfect basket... and it really is perfect!  I have a co worker whose down with some really contagious virus and stuck at home - so I figure I put this together, drop it off at the front door - ring bell and run!!!! LOL, I will phone first!

It was simple to put together, but wasn't sure how to decorate it ... and then saw the Stampoholics challenge for colors... OH HOW PRETTY! ... I am still a Baja Breeze so why not?

FREE Basket Tutorial by Renee at Stamping for Sanity

I used some flower punch embellishments. This helps make it more feminine. I think flowers soften things up as well.

Its a perfect "GET WELL SOON" basket  and "WELCOME BACK" to the office, just incase I am too scared to run it to her while she is out!

I hope your weekend was great! Its a Triathlon day for my other half, so I am off to be a cheerleader!

Have a great day!

Day 5... Be Goofy

Fridays are my fun days. They are days where I can put a pair of jeans on and head to the office and be more 'relaxed'... they are in essence my "goofy" days.  Its usually a day where I get the shredding completed that has been building all week long and do the things you do not want to messy with!

So here is to GOOFY FRIDAYS!!!!

I used a color combination from the Color coach that I wouldn't have put together myself..  More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler and Baja Breeze.  I guess my head hears MUSTARD and CHERRY and gets all grossed out... I mean really..  or maybe even worse.. Cherry Cobbler and Mustard.. Ewwww..

Then I had to add another chocolate element to the mix... so you have Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Rocha Ferraro chocolates!

The little basket is made with a 5 x 5 piece of More Mustard that I scored at 1 inch on all sides to make the box.  Handle and tag were made using scraps as were the toppers of the chocolates!

I am not sure who comes up with the naming conventions of these colors.. however, its no wonder I snack while I stamp.. thes mostly have food names...geez...  When it really dawned on me, was this years  IN COLORS.. when I was overheard ordering PEACH PARFAIT.. the teens were thought it was going to be dessert!

Have a great GOOFY Friday!

Santa Sack...

Every year, I have to make a faux Santa outfit as a basket/ box/ etc, for a friend of mine. She expects it. She keeps it. She loves them. So every year I try to 'remember what I did in the past' and then move forward. This year, am thinking early.. you know Christmas is like 2 months away now.... {{YIKES}}

So this is what I came up with:

Using the pillow box, I formed this basket, in which I am not sure what I will put into it .. I cannot give out all my secrets... whatever it is will be filled in a black sack!

I textured the White, using the swirls textured plate from the Big Shot and used a copper antiqued slide for his 'belt buckle'. I love the outcome & I am sure she will too! ... now its off to fill it with goodies!

Ingredients: Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black
Punches: Tab
Black Brads, Black ribbon & coper antique copper ribbon slide

Did you think I could stay away long???

I shouldn't be awake, but I am. I am wishing to finish a project that I started about a week ago, but honestly do not have the energy. HOWEVER, I did want to share some of the pics of it with you.

This is a paperbag scrapbook. I know what you are thinking... how in the world is that possible? Well, let me tell you, it was easy. You can modify it to your liking, and decorate as you wish. These lunchbags (brown- its what was in the cabinet) are smaller than the normal type. I think they are perfect for peanut packaging, but I doubt that is what I was doing with them. You stack the bags on top one another, alternating the bottom and top, fold over and tie off with ribbon. Basically, its decorate and go.

Side view, with one of the bags open, There is a piece of CS in the bag portion that also gets to be used.

This is the front... I lack a few items here, so its not the finished projects

Here are some of the inside pages, I pencilled in photo sizes to make it easier when putting pictures in.

Thank for looking!

One more basket-- please

Too simple not to have been made by me before... I mean really... These were the baskets used, for the family candy on Easter. I used the DPS Tangerine Tango since it was spring like looking and not too girly....certainly I didn't want to offend anyone with the colors, but heck I do not think they even noticed the basket when it was full of chocolate! LOL!

Thanks for looking!
