September Anniversary

Dear friends have been married a year, and I wanted a special card for them to enjoy, so I got this together. Though they have been together for a long time, they decided it was time to get married and just basically went to a district magistrate with only a few friends knowing.

Its also been a year since I had surgery on my thumb. I fell in late July (2015) and tried all the therapy and braces, but it was inevitable that I needed surgery. So, September 25, marked a year since that day, in which needs to be celebrated. I am a very dominant LEFT HAND gal... so there was a HUGE LEARNING curve. I managed with the help of elastic skirts, dresses, flat shoes and short hair

The following picture may make a sensitive stomach turn, so be warned. They sliced both sides of my thumb and put a pin in it. I had an ace bandage wrap after surgery for about 10 days and then they put me in the big blue one, and then after 8 weeks, I had it removed.  It has been quite an adventure, on in which I learned alot - good and bad.

Have a great day!

Happy Anniversary

They married seven years ago. It was probably the HOTTEST day in August. I remember that it well.  Running around to make sure all the decorations were still up and the gardens were prepped for the big day took place after hair, makeup and mimosa compliments of the brides mother!

I used the Night of Navy since it reminded me of  the dress I wore. Its still in my closet, since I know eventually, I will have a party to wear it again!

I used Very Vanilla with Expresso and alittle Crumb Cake with the First Edition DSP.

Here I am in my dress with a friend at the wedding. Can you see us sweating?

Stole this from the Brides FB page

Wow, I loved my hair like that too!

RAZZLEBERRY me

I {heart} Rich Razzleberry! I am not sure if its because it reminds me of candy, or what but I love the color! I do not even own much purple so I am not sure what the main attraction is to this color!  When I was searching for color ideas to get some Mothers Days cards out quickly, I grabbed Rich Razzleberry... and heck I think every other color coordinates with it!

Here is todays card:

The Awash flowers stamp set makes quick cards, it holds all the pieces to multiple flowers in the set, which I love! I love the chunky flower buds almost as much as I love the Rich Razzleberry color!! {wink wink}.   I stamped off the one flower and didn't one the other - so that is why it looks slightly different. Again, if I would just buy another camera, and retire this one, maybe the true beauty of the card would shine!   .. for shine you will just have to sparkle in the rhinestones on the 2nd flower!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!  Hug the ones you love!

Teeny Tiny Four Frames

Just when I thought I might be able to bring you some "greatness" - Tornado warnings ran thru the county, so it was quick and easy - and tuning into my surroundings... so you will see a use of scraps and the Four frames set that is a part of the Spring Blossoms promotion.

I grabbed some leftover Ice Cream DSP - and used it to border the right side of the Crumb Cake. Stamped the Four Frames after using markers to color it, punched it and popped it up on Dimensionals.  I used a spare scallop circle to make a rolled flower and put a rhinestone in the center.  Adding 3 rhinestones to the top left just seemed to finish it off!  Simple and done.

Lots of chatter about the tornados from the south, and those locally still buzzing around. I love the storms but there is a moment of saying "Mother Nature, are Tornados really necessary?" Enough is enough already! May those in the south - and now moving Northeast, be safe!

Have a great day!
