Day 5... Break away from Box... Take out box

I have wanted some Chinese food for a while now. Since one of the teens eats it like its going out of style and the other teen gags at the thought- sight and smell of that sort of suggestion/smell. So I do not make much of it  - usually pick some of it up when the 'gag teen' is out of the house! LOL.. I am sure you have figured out which of the teens is which (boy vs. girl!).  I made these chinese take out boxes in masculine colors - put fortune cookies in them, with my chocolate.

3 fortune cookies with take out box
This box can fit so much.. cupcake, muffin, 5 cookies (depending on size), 6 chocolate covered pretzels, countless Hershey Kisses -- endless.

My hearts are crimped and sponged.
I first stuffed it with Chocolate covered Pretzels.. then I decided on these Graham Breakaways...

Take Out with Breakaways (with dried Cranberries)

The Graham Breakaways are from Lick the Bowl Good and can be found here. I added dried Cranberries to the top - she has it listed as a suggestion, and boy was she right!

Now I tell you this - but you must keep it secret.. this bag has about 6 pieces in it - currently is no where to be found in the house... while I was checking email I ate it... every last piece. So I had good intentions.. now I will have to make more and quickly send to receipents.. that stuff is way too dangerous to me! Who doesn't love graham crackers, chocolate, pecans, toffee and cranberries!!!   OK. enough or I am back to baking!

DONT FORGET TO LEAVE ME SOME LOVE/COMMENTS - TO ENTER YOUR NAME INTO A DRAWING FOR SOME BLOG CANDY.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
Hug the ones you love!

Birthdays are the best

A perfect birthday combination. Card and small gift box to hold any number of goodies. Its fun and bright!

This is using some retired SU paper - Pacific Point(?), Tangerine (ink) as well as the designed paper. I made the chinese take out box to house the 'gift', then used the extra for the card. Simple and bright... and BLUE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY -
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!

Did someone say Chinese??

OH its been a long time since I was out for some good Chinese. It usually a special night with my son, when I do get the chance to go. When I got a Big Shot, I know I just recently got one.. I hear all those gasps.... this was one of the dies that I knew I had to have... and since then, I think I have made 15 of them! Seriously, I haven't filled ONE of them up but I have cut them, decorated them, and put them on my table and sit back and oooooohhhhhhhhh and aaaaaahhhh... silly huh? Well NO MORE! I am taking my chinese take out ... OUT! I have a few coworkers that have 'bugging' me to see some new creations... and therefore, I am putting together these take out boxes and gifting them. Maybe including a few binder clips, calendar and post it note, sweets - for little gifts... guess you will have to stay tuned!

This one particular is made with Tangerine Tango DSP, and some ribbon I have hoarded (.. she stands up and says "hello I am Chera and I am a ribbon hoarder"..) and used two flowers to attach it at the top. I once received a few pieces of jewelry that had the ribbon thru flowers and it was just breathtaking..the jewelry and the packaging!

Is it just adorable? I have to say - I will keep a few for me just to look at!! I have used my retired DSP or other stuff that has been sitting around dying to be used.. you know we all have it.. the stuff we HAVE TO HAVE and then never use it.

Happy Thursday!
