A perfect birthday combination. Card and small gift box to hold any number of goodies. Its fun and bright!

This is using some retired SU paper - Pacific Point(?), Tangerine (ink) as well as the designed paper. I made the chinese take out box to house the 'gift', then used the extra for the card. Simple and bright... and BLUE!

Looking alittle like Christmas

Just a few examples of some of my recent Christmas/ Holiday cards. I decided I would try to keep up with those gals at Late Night Stampers and do the Challenge of 12 days of Christmas. They really know how to put a spark in your butt to get things completed! Wish they would have been around when its painting time around the house! LOL

This again, is the Merry Moments DSP that I really have mixed emotions whether I like or it just annoys me! I used crystal effects on the snowflakes that I punched out, and added the pearl to. I think it POPS!

Its a treat!!!

As I mentioned before, getting myself used to using some DSP has taken me some time. I can honestly say I use it more with 3D items than I do cards. For whatever reason. I am getting better. I know I am. Its take some time. Last night I decided that I need to make some treat bags to have on hand for a "thank you","thinking of you", "you are appreciated" sort of moment. You can put a "fun size" bar in them.... customizing to the person you are giving them to! They were FUN FUN FUN and EASY!... two things I love!

Again I used the retired Parisan DSP, since its alittle more masculine, in case I needed that as well. Here are the 6 I made, using the different side and coordinating colors.

Flip flop and you don't stop...

If I am not in my bare feet, I am in flip flops... isn't everyone? Like mother like daughter, I believe that my daughter & I wear them until the snow flies... and sometimes after that, I know we try.

So here is my sketch of a flip flop for a card... best used as an invite, but I like it. Its rough - but then again, it was almost midnight when I finally got an acceptable template created.

And yes I did create a left and right foot template!

Cardbag

You know I look at my crafts over the last few months and I think I better get started on getting some actual cards completed. So in this case, this bag will house the cards. It should hold between 8-12 cards with envelopes, depending on the thickness of the cards.


First project with the new Oval Punches and Oval stamps from Stampin Up! I think I may have fallen in love with them. I have some paper that I have to use (can you hear the twisting of the arm?). I wanted simple elegancy.. maybe not exactly, but I like it.

Its Birthday time!

So there are few birthdays arriving shortly... mine among the list, but I needed to get restocked at work, and at home. I needed some masculine type cards, and think I hit that with the design and the colors. Nothing out of the ordinary but Birthday cards for men!

I loved this ribbon - I love this ribbon so much I didn't want to use for anything but a masculine birthday card. I didn't know how I was going to incorporate the ribbon, but I like the way it turned out. Simple and basic, but yet, makes a masculine statement.

I really am to be working on a 50th birthday card for a friend in UK. I do not have the layout, or design or colors yet that I want... I mean, its her 50th birthday.... a big milestone... but as with everything else.. she's a simple gal.

Its that time of year again...

Where everyone in the office is red nosed, and carrying around a box of tissues. Cold/ flu season... I have to knock on wood, and count my blessings as I haven't been hit, this time around. My kids have alittle bit of it, but its almost over.

This stamp set is retired from SU! But I like it and get alot of use from it. I do not remember the actual name of the set, but its got this cute little band aid with it, that I use for OUCHY's... I have some scraps that I need to get used up and just threw this together. Simple but yet to the point. On the inside there's a slot that is the home of a soup packet. What you cannot really see, is the "Sorry to hear you are under the weather" sentiment that the camera didn't focus on.

WILD ABOUT FRIDAYS

I have searching for this picture for a long long time... since at least July... when the baby shower was... I didn't realize it went into the wrong folder... man... I have got to get better organized.

This was part of a baby shower gift I did for my cousin, back in July, when she was having her baby boy. She went into labor early, and we postponed the shower until later... but here is the Thank you cards and door hanger I put together for her. Other goodies were included, but nothing too fun!!!

Its Thursday.... not only have I not done much in cardmarking than fold and cut another set, but I still have cards I can show you.. How do you like that??? This one I like so much that I have already made 10 of them.... might seem alittle crazy but so many birthdays are coming up in November, that if I forgot one, they may just have to get this card.... its neutral for anyone to receive... right??

When I look at this card front, you could add CELEBRATE, or HAPPY BIRTHDAY, but I left mine blank, so I could make it suitable for the recipient at that time.

With the cool air upon us, I really just want to relate to being on the sand again!

This is from the Emerson collection, from American Art stamps.
What this picture cannot tell you - is that I used some glitter on the sand to make it sparkle, and crystal effects on the two starfish. Everything else is water colored. This sits in my inbox when I am away from my desk, "In a meeting"
