2014 Christmas card collection - recycle

Its safe to say that I was a bit behind this year, since by July, I usually have a good idea and draft of  the Christmas cards that will be sent no later than December 10.  By September, not only did I not have an idea in my head on a Christmas card, I was getting pretty low on supplies.

This was the first of the bunch that I made, however only had enough materials for about 10 cards, and these were mainly hand delivered, not many of them were mailed.

I loved the glittery snowflake, but ran outta the pearls, so the 12 I made were going to have to be enough, of this one.

This was my husbands idea... "stockings", since I haven't really done anything with them before. I made 6 before I was finished with the dsp, and wasn't really liking them with some of the other paper I had in my stash.

These were put together on a whim, and though they were fun to make, I quickly learned that my ribbon colors matching some of my paper was limited. I made it thru with 14 cards ... pretty impressive.

After two, I didnt like this.. wasn't sure where to go with it, so it went into my stash... who knows what may come of this next year.

Finally, the ornament cards. These were simple and lovely that i had enough  materials to make about 24 of them.  With just a sampling of DSP in the center, and some  score marks along the edges, it was perfect.

Whether with the burgundy color, or greens I really liked them with the vanilla.

Of course there is one card that I do not have a picture of and its my white on white with cardinals card.. I will have to see if I can get someone who received to send a picture to me... dang nap it! I cannot believe I didn't get one! ... that is what happens in the rush!

Thank you for stopping by! I wish you and your family a happy new year!

Holiday Ornaments

I was trying my hand at embossing since its been.... well... quite some time since I have last used this technique. I love the look of the gold with some color.

Then I tried to tie ribbons on the top...I'm not sure which I prefer but they were fun to put together. I haven't figured out which will be mass produced fir sending but tine us running out.... 20 more days till Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Ornament Greetings

Another group of cards that put you in the spirit of the holidays! These are traditional colors and a simple layout. Just the way its suppose to be!

I used the keepsake ornament framelits to cut them out and added pearls to the ornament to dress them up.

It was a busy weekend here. All the Christmas shopping is complete. Cards mailed out. More importantly, my son took his oath to join the PA National Guard, which he will complete basic training this summer between his junior and senior high school years... what a proud mom moment!! Truly I am blessed!

Thanks for stopping by! Hug the ones you love! Have a great day!

Two ? Two for Thursday...

TWO POSTS?.. I must be in the Christmas spirit! I just have some new stuff to show off! Its my time to get em out there!

I found the making of this ornament on Splitcoaststampers and thought THIS WAS SO ME!! So after I mass produced cards for my soldier boy, I needed something for ME to send ... I think this might just be the answer! I deeply apologize for not remembering WHO I stole... I mean cased this from. If its you- let me know - I will give credit to you!! PROMISE!!

Simple enough for me to make a few dozen with that "nasty" Merry Moments DSP, that I have in my stash. I used Vanilla CS with it. And Real Red to complete it. I like the silver pearls that I added as an after thought. The Ornament will 'fold down' for putting in an envelope and HOPEFULLY, the recipient will be able to pop back up - I tested on my boss, if she can do it without being told, its possible! LOL..
