Two ? Two for Thursday...

TWO POSTS?.. I must be in the Christmas spirit! I just have some new stuff to show off! Its my time to get em out there!

I found the making of this ornament on Splitcoaststampers and thought THIS WAS SO ME!! So after I mass produced cards for my soldier boy, I needed something for ME to send ... I think this might just be the answer! I deeply apologize for not remembering WHO I stole... I mean cased this from. If its you- let me know - I will give credit to you!! PROMISE!!

Simple enough for me to make a few dozen with that "nasty" Merry Moments DSP, that I have in my stash. I used Vanilla CS with it. And Real Red to complete it. I like the silver pearls that I added as an after thought. The Ornament will 'fold down' for putting in an envelope and HOPEFULLY, the recipient will be able to pop back up - I tested on my boss, if she can do it without being told, its possible! LOL..

Gingerbread treats

.. don't be looking here for any... HA HA. I have them on the "things to make list" but haven't gotten there yet.. somehow other things keep creeping up the list.. we all know how that goes.. one thing off and 4 more get added on...

However, I have another card with some of the Merry Moments paper.. one might think I am liking since I am using it alot more. Its too easy to fall into habits of using what is at arms length. So when I say down - I got my daughter to help me clean off the table in the craft cave, however when she was putting the Merry Moments DSP back, I was like ... OH NO, I want to use that... I think she was as shocked as you and I.... but she put the paper back like she just got caught with her hands in the cookie jar.

This DSP side I like.. I am not sure what is on the other side, however lately it seems I have chosen the least liked side to use on cards ! I do like the outcome of this card.

Looking alittle like Christmas

Just a few examples of some of my recent Christmas/ Holiday cards. I decided I would try to keep up with those gals at Late Night Stampers and do the Challenge of 12 days of Christmas. They really know how to put a spark in your butt to get things completed! Wish they would have been around when its painting time around the house! LOL

This again, is the Merry Moments DSP that I really have mixed emotions whether I like or it just annoys me! I used crystal effects on the snowflakes that I punched out, and added the pearl to. I think it POPS!

Warmest holiday thoughts

I have said before, I love the look of designer paper but it often intimidates me. I saw a card by Jen Sannes ( http://www.simpleandsincere.com) in which I like the layout and she used a different DSP than I had, but I knew I could CASE this. I used different sentiments and paper, but I thank you Jen for helping me get thru my 'what am I going to do with this funky design paper?' question. YEA ME FOR GETTING OVER ANOTHER 'HUMP'!

Simplicity works

Finally, I was able to sit at my table and actually create! It is a simple card, but that is how I get my mojo kicking...

I got a few cards out in this design, using the Merry Moments DSP and Old Olive CS with a few different color inks. Simply pop on some red ribbon and you are done! They are light and wont cost extra to mail this year!

I cannot believe its been so long since I last posted. I have started about 100 times, but this time, with coffee in hand, and phone off hook, I managed to complete it! HOORAY!!!
