June birthdays

June birthdays... There are many June birthdays around here so along with Graduations for my son,  I have been spinning!  I was lucky enough to get a head start and mass produce some cards a head of time.  

Here is a great card I made that can cover teenager to music lover. 

 

 I love the way it all came together, and added some more stars in the middle. And a "blob" - since I do not know the technical term... ha ha. 

  

There have been a few milestone birthdays in the last few weeks as well. Guess that shows  my age as well... hahah. I loved this card from the moment I had the layout sketched.

Gamer birthday

Its been a while since I have had a 10 year old around, but one thing is for sure, I think I can still be hip around them!  I put together this card for a double digit kid recently - I can only hope he enjoyed it  (or maybe just the goodies inside!)

  

The template I found a long time ago since I have since used it for my son while he was away at basic training (it was tease since I knew no electronics were there)

    

We slipped a gift card inside for him... how fitting right?

 

I dressed up the inside of the envelope - to mask the card shape from the outside ... hee hee.

Life is better in FLIP FLOPS

Got a quick break during the weekend to put together a fun summer card. I have today the yellows worried me, but it works.  I used the Crushed Curry as my card base. My flip flops are Daffodil Delight Delight with Starfruit flowers and the sentiment is also in Starfruit.

Play Date

Recently a friend of mine moved back to her hometown... to "start over" ... though its been weird not seeing her car at her old place as we drive by, I have been cool about dealing with this - after all we are only a text message or FB away! {wink wink}

   

While she "starts" over she is looking to pursue another career then what she had been doing for the last 12 years, while she was here, with that  we all know, Its never too late to begin doing something we have always dreamed of doing...

Therefore, I got to Play with Playdate cafe and use their color challenge

Wonderful life

As I mentioned the weather is goofy at the moment - and while I have an outside chore list that is stacking up against me, I still have inside chores to complete.  The Craft cave was getting alittle outta control and so I needed to get in there  - clean up and why not stamp alittle while I am there??? 

 

I love the Words of Wisdom stamps from Verve . They are fun and make clean up the scrap DSP even more enjoyable!  

 

 The DSP is retired, I still love the colors and the bright cards you can put together!  I used the Mojo Monday sketch (check it out- lots of great goodies with the challenge)

I hope that when ppl look at me - they see alittle you...

 If you remembered, I used this card, as a basic format for a set of cards I recently made. It started to grow on me. So I used it for a few mothers day cards with it too. 

 

The sentiments are not SU! but they are classy and meaningful.  These cards are super fast and I love to have the blank ones in my stash for any occasion. 

How many of you really mail out the cards you make anyway? I was looking over my stash - in which, man o day, if I do challenges, rarely do I send them. But club cards get mailed.. how weird is that? Oh well.
