Making it simple

There are days where I need cards, look thru my stash and want something simple... something that doesn't really SAY anything at all. Well I didn't have that, so I had to put one together. Its a simple card - white on red, which can be cheery or elegant, but you can make it anything you want. I didn't think I was going to put words on the front, nor did I want alot of embellishments. Simple.. remember simple!

So I scored the top of the Whisper White card stock, tied my sheer ribbon to it, and then stamped just one bloom on it.

And why make one, when you can make two very easily.

Balloon.... hot air balloon

With the high excitement level of all the activities I did while I was in FL, it got me thinking. I really think I ride in a hot air balloon. I have no idea where they do them, I see them on the occasion floating thru the sky... but how cool would that be? With that in mind I tried to make Hot Air balloon cards... I am still working on them, but I am overall pleased with the beginning. I am most please with the buckets, and will indeed keep tweaking the balloon.

What else is on my bucket list?
I really do not know, I never gave it much thought!

Have a great day!

more Valentines

I didn't use much of the pomegranate when it was a In color, and now I have fallen love with it. I like it with brown, the crispness white gives it and of course with black. I wanted some Valentines that wouldn't the normal "red and pink combinations.... I like the way this turned out...
PLUS I used some more of those Fiskars textured templates that you rub with a stylus or a texture tool. I used "dots" on the white, and then "hearts" on the pomegranate heart -its on a dimensional right below the ribbon. The ribbon has just enough UMP that it puts the card together... without overboard.. Don't you think so?
Thanks for looking!
