So long Sage...

With the new "Color Renovation" that SU is doing, sadly Sage Shadow will be no more. Though I am extremely excited about the new colors and rejuvenation of the SU line, I will be sad to see a few of my favorites go.

Todays card uses the Sage Shadow and the Orchid Opulance:

Ingredients: CS: Sage Shadow & Orchid Opulence, Eggplant; Stamps: Warm Words II, dots from Big Bold Birthday (retired);Ink: Orchid & Sage; XL Flower punch;Ribbon

Tulips! Take Two...

First of all, I know we are days away from Spring! I couldn't be happier! Especially knowing that I can see the greens to my tulips and daffodils coming up since all that nasty snow is gone!

So here are my tulips:

Late last night while the Crystal Effects was drying on the petals, I couldn't decide what else I wanted for this card. And then I knew it when I got up.. alittle friendship card.
So here is the Take Two on the Tulips, so before I ran out the door for work, I snapped this.

Ingredients: CS: Bermuda Bay, Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Old Olive; Two step bird punch& Ornament; Bermuda Bay Ribbon, Eggplant Ribbon, Crystal Effects & Rhinestones

Elegant Ribbon Rose - LNSC52

This rose is made with ribbon. I have got to find a way not to get myself all tangled in the ribbon or glue while wrapping this fine little bud. Its easy and fun. I to try a bigger size ribbon, though I liked this, but just to see what the outcome is.

I added alittle glitter to the rose for effect, looks better IRL. Heres a close up!

I used the Elegant Eggplant DSP, CS and Ink. This color is a great purple tone! I used Lovely Lilac ribbon that I found only about 24 inches of it. So there it all is on the rose. I also popped the rose up on dimensionals, not that you can tell but its there. I snuck the petals under it. I used the scalloped oval punch scored some lines in it and then cut some of the 'leaves' out and used a marker. The It will get better is from the FYI set, and is punched out with the Window punch- also punched a eggplant out to layer behind it, which is also on dimensionals.

Happy Friday!

Three for Thursday...

Don't you just love this color? Its Bayberry! It reminds me of summer. It picks me up when I am down. Its makes me laugh. It just loves me... Its so versatile!

I made some notecards the other day. Cards that are blank that I can slip in my stash at the office for any occasion or tie up with ribbon for a quick gift.

Its the 5 petal punch with Whisper White. The scalloped edge punch also in Whisper white, added some Bayberry ribbon to the Basic Black layer, popped the flowers on and compete! I did use my Mat pack and pierced the flower inside. For the inside, I colored white brads Bayberry with a marker.

I did it again with Certainly Celery.

And Elegant Eggplant

Nice group of cards. I wanted to use the Celery and Eggplant since I haven't touched them in a while.

Have a great day!

Clear Upsy Daisy

Upsy Daisy is a great stamp, and its versitility makes it ever more a reason its always within arms reach. I used it on clear sheets, making it look like a window sheet, with white craft ink. Then I paired it with the green Urban DSP, which I believe is retired now. I had the Eggplant CS and Bashful Blue cut and ready for another card, and when I put them together, I liked the look.

I got some great crafting done over the weekend. Its like I got my Mojo back!
Thanks for looking.
