Black White Wedding with a POP

August has become the new wedding month, I swear...
Not mine.. but two others... just days apart.

So I had two ideas in mind... and they were pretty simple...

Simple yet elegant.

I like them in both the Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight.

Then I made four others- using Real Red, Whisper White, Concord Crush and Basic Grey. All of which I love and it will be a HUGE decision to see who gets what!

The beauty of the Sea

Ok, so as much as I want to tell you about the love story behind this (not mine),I have to give your the short version since it spans... oh... about 5 years...

How they met: At the beach, he worked as a SCOPES photographer during the day and some nights at some greasy chicken place on the boardwalk. She visited with friends and family quite frequently and though attempted to fight the feelings she had from day one - she knew it was meant to be.

They kept their romance for 2 summers as a long distance, "see ya when I get there" type of relationship. By the end of summer number 2, she was there all the time and he never minded a bit.

Fast forward to 6 days ago, she purposes...sets the "beachy" mood in their apartment...

and pops THE question...in a way of just telling their story ...

With a moment or two of not knowing what was going on.. he says YES!  And she puts on  his engagement ring... with the impression of "marry me" inside.

What a beautiful fairytale. ... now if I could get their picture... this would be a great ending to my telling it.. but I couldn't wait much longer!

Two for Thursday... flowers for mom

Not many holidays go by when in the process of making cards, I do not break out some punch art of one sort. I really try to stay clear.. but sometimes I just cannot help it.  When I was cleaning up and reorganizing my craft cave, I found some of these fusion flowers laying around. It sparked an idea that transformed two cards for mothers day!

When I put them on the Very Vanilla, it just popped right out. I fixed my pearls to match, and then layered some Wild Wasabi  with the Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler.

When I put another set on the Crumb Cake, with just a small amount of Cherry Cobbler, it gave another look that I liked, just not as bright.

Lets hope as I continue to reorganize the room I can continue to find more goodies like these!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Full of Life... Crush...

Well how about these colors? Do you like them? Don't you just love them??

They are Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz - SU! In Colors... WOW!!!!..

I had to hold them in my hands and then cut them up right away to use them.. I have a feeling you will be seeing more of these colors!

I used the Full of Life Stamp set for just a simple sentiment in the front with the Big Shot Floral Fusion Sizzlits Die. Added some silver brads to the opposite side and quite a simple and clean card.

Stamp Set: Full of Life

Dazzling up with Daffodil

You would have thought I won lottery when my daughter spotted the Daffodil Delight paper coming out of the SU! box, that arrived days ago.

Her favorite color... yellow... her now "I want" is this "yellow".. EVERYTHING.. from the "Mom, can you find this color in a tee shirt for me?" to the "lets paint my friends frames in this color"... to at last "Mom, when you and John get married, I want to wear this color.."... GOOD LORD!.. who said the new Color Renovation was just going to bring excitement to us Stampin Gals? ... certainly they (SU!) are gaining approval from the teenagers.. thank heavens for small things I gues... now I may have to win the lottery to turn my darling daughters world into Daffodil Delight.

First, I started with simplicity and added the pearl jewels (YEA FOR SU! FINALLY GETTING ON THE BALL WITH THESE IN ALL SIZES!)

I used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, and then the Floral Fusion die for the flowers. "Happy Birthday" is from Perfect Punches.

Have a great day!!
