National Boss Day

Its Boss's Day!!!!

I do not work my FT on Saturday, I give this to my boss yesterday. She loves any of my paper crafts - so I knew she would love this.

Pins seem to fit perfectly into the Matchbox - so I made my boss's with Concord Crush & Pear Pizzaz (two of her favorite colors - when Sage retired - she was heart broken... now I am glad she has picked another favorite).

Its not often I get to work with fabrics. I like them but they do not always like me. I got this fabric back in July, I remember because I had big hopes I could pull off this pin for my Boss' birthday. Yea, that didn't happen.

I used the Circles (Big Shot Die) and used the LARGEST and the MEDIUM, and four pieces of each. Then I turned on my heat gun, and waited until the material started to melt. I did press them down alittle flatter when they were warm so they would still look like circles.
I should have used more, but I am happy with this outcome.

I got out the needle and thread and used a cute little purple button I had to tie it all together. And then use a clasp for back. Here it is all put together, for her surprise.

Happy Boss' Day!!!!!

Ingredients:

CS: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz

Big Shot: Matchbox Die, with label & swirl textured plate

S{ICK} - In Colors

Its hard to believe that its FALL when I look at the calendar but with the temperatures cooling off they way they did... it INDEED IS FALL in my neck of the woods. We (at the office) have the sneezing, sniffles, the cough, itchy eyes...its a Nightquil commercial around here... you know .. everything that indicates a cold or allergies.. but I digress. Most days are spent with sanitizer, tissues and 'bless you's" ...

To represent what life is like at the moment... here is todays card:

I used some of the IN COLORs with the Garden Gala DSP... which secretly I might have to hoard for my own personal use! ... Shhhh - dont tell...

I used the Cherry Cobbler for the cardbase (which I know isn't IN, but its COOL.. so really it is {IN}... get it??) Then I have oh darn, that Early Espresso again.. which isn't an IN COLOR, but still LOVELY!. I textured the Espresso with the BIG SHOT. I have the Pear Pizzaz & Peach Parfait (IN COLORS- YEA!) with the DSP.

I think the illness must be spreading, I have been safe this far - I am leaning to look at the card, with the one eye shut alittle.. maybe I didn't photograph it straight...ok.. well thanks for stopping by - I hope that this finds YOU WELL.. and NOT ICK.. I mean SICK...

Have a great day!

FYI

I guess I should say, I am sorry for going MIA ... without warning... I have a good excuse... honest..

I got a call on Sunday July 18 at 6am... yes 6 in the morning people!!! that my fiancee was on US soil... that meant in days he would be home from his year plus long deployment... this immediate thru me and turned the anxious button on high... of course the moments until I could see him ticked by like a clock that needed a new battery... by Wednesday I was driving home with him in tow!! I couldn't wait to tell the kids, and waited as long as I could to tell them, so that there wasn't 3 of us as anxious as I was.. it was all good.. By the time we drove out to get him, most of the anxious butterflies were gone but the happiness tears set in the moment he walked in the military base hall doors. My daughter made a great sign to Welcome him home, in which she carried with her the remainder of the day.

We chilled out for a few days, of course he managed to tinker around the house, creating a few jobs for himself, which quite honestly I HAD to keep unfinished -- you know how these men need to feel needed.... and truly, it doesn't matter - hes home. If he needs to touch his tools and tinker around improving the house - that is just fine in my book. I haven't been in my craft room as of late. I did some baking while he tinkered around. I managed a few days back to my FT job, however, I would rather sit and look at the man that has been gone for more than 19 months... that isn't a bad thing you know..

Here is something that I put together before my life went 360 with excitement.. it will calm down again.. just not at the moment.. I am still living my high. Thank you 1SGT for returning home safe and sound!

Stamps: Awash with flowers, FYI
CS: Concord crush, Crumb cake, white
Ink: Garden green, concord crush, black
Modern Label, flower brad silver

Thank you for stopping by.
I do again apologize for my little hiatus.
It was well worth it! ..
Hug and kiss your loved ones today.

Butterfly

I thought this would be a great way to introduce the new In Colors with a new Core colors .. simple and fun..

Here it is:

I textured the cardstock, and used the Butterfly punch. Then used the linen thread to make antennaes and little glue dots to secure them so they could still 'fly'. I used the sentiment from FULL OF LIFE as an added bonus.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Ingredients: Stamp: Full of life; Cardstock: Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush & Daffodil Delight; Ink: Black; Others: Butterfly punch, textures plates (Big shot), linen thread

Happy BIRD day

Inspired by the seagulls that just seem to hang out on the phone lines and look at one another, no matter what! I think this facinates me to a certain degree, since I manage to get pictures every time I am near the beaches...

Just a simple cute birthday card.

Stamps: Happy Together, FYI
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait & Crumb Cake
Ink: Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz
XL Fancy Flower Punch, Floral Fusion Big Shot, Circle punch, Paper piercing, silver brad, dimensionals

Full of Life... Crush...

Well how about these colors? Do you like them? Don't you just love them??

They are Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz - SU! In Colors... WOW!!!!..

I had to hold them in my hands and then cut them up right away to use them.. I have a feeling you will be seeing more of these colors!

I used the Full of Life Stamp set for just a simple sentiment in the front with the Big Shot Floral Fusion Sizzlits Die. Added some silver brads to the opposite side and quite a simple and clean card.
