A tisket -a tasket a little tiny basket

What a fun basket! I know another 3D item- these baskets were for coworkers and they have some kisses in them. I honestly cannot believe the picture isn't more clear.. my apologies! and now that they are gone.. RIGHT?

I had one person ask my why there wasn't grass in them, and first of all, I CANNOT STAND THAT STUFF... then when I made my 'own' with shredded paper, I didn't like the look of it. Hey maybe they wanted 'grass' instead of the chocolate kisses in them?? I could have done that, I mean, I put about 8 kisses in them. I am sure you could almost fit a dozen.

Anyways- my family's baskets are different than these, and with all hope, I will get them posted shortly after the holiday. If I do not get back here until then, have a great safe holiday!

Purses galore

For my birthday I got a great purse from my dear fiancee.... not too many people are familiar with the type... its a tokidoki purse... (check them out... www.shop.tokidoki.it ) .

So decided to try to create a purse.. with the directions I got off the Scor Pal site.. (since I never got one for my birthday!) http://www.scorpal.com/

The purse measures about 5 by 4, and with velcro that will be on the other side of the strip of paper that is flipped up, I am excited to see what all I can put in it. It was dark when I finished, so I took the pictures before it was totally completed. Otherwise, it would be a few days before it would get posted. I am excited to make a few more of these, maybe in time for Mothers Day ... I hope.

Its Birthday time!

So there are few birthdays arriving shortly... mine among the list, but I needed to get restocked at work, and at home. I needed some masculine type cards, and think I hit that with the design and the colors. Nothing out of the ordinary but Birthday cards for men!

I loved this ribbon - I love this ribbon so much I didn't want to use for anything but a masculine birthday card. I didn't know how I was going to incorporate the ribbon, but I like the way it turned out. Simple and basic, but yet, makes a masculine statement.

I really am to be working on a 50th birthday card for a friend in UK. I do not have the layout, or design or colors yet that I want... I mean, its her 50th birthday.... a big milestone... but as with everything else.. she's a simple gal.

Its Thursday.... not only have I not done much in cardmarking than fold and cut another set, but I still have cards I can show you.. How do you like that??? This one I like so much that I have already made 10 of them.... might seem alittle crazy but so many birthdays are coming up in November, that if I forgot one, they may just have to get this card.... its neutral for anyone to receive... right??

When I look at this card front, you could add CELEBRATE, or HAPPY BIRTHDAY, but I left mine blank, so I could make it suitable for the recipient at that time.

I have to admit, its that time of year, where I want to just slip under the covers in the morning, and not get up. But when I finally do, I see all the different colors of nature that makes me want to stay outside until the sun does down... but then reality kicks in on the side of I have to defrost my windows so I can see out of the back of the car... what a time of year where you can become bipolar... anyways.. enough of that.

When this card was made I think it was to be a sympathy card, but I couldn't see that I would use it as one, so didn't ink it up in the workshop I was attending. I loved the detail of it being embossed and brayered.

Brayer --- you might say... its a technique that I do not remember to do often enough.. but you use your versamark ink on glossy paper, then roll your brayer tool in an ink color and over the images on the glossy paper. The ink that you are putting on with the brayer tool, come to life and you can emboss on top- or leave as is.

So enjoy staying in bed just alittle longer, enjoy natures colors while they are here... it won't be long until its only white and then muddy white...
