Summer time = Watermelon time!

Finally the sun decided to shine and its been nice. I have enjoyed seeing what the sun looked like again. Its been a while since its shown its face! I was starting to worry since my garden needs some sunshine to grow, but without a doubt I am sure in a few days I will have to pull the hose over to the garden and have to water. But in the meantime, I found a great deal on watermelon and was cutting it down to bite sizes when it dawned on me.. A WATERMELON.. that represents summer... so after I consumed almost half of the seedless watermelon, I hurried to the craft room and attempted to put one together. Afterall, its WATER and a MELON, it cannot be that bad for you- now can it? Happy Summer!

Finally... A CARD!!!

Yes, I know I can hardly believe it myself... but with some of the creative juices left from a great Stamp Camp I attended on Saturday morning, I finished up the cards that I needed for a swap. Though these pictures do not show true colors, you will get the idea.

I used Tangerine Tango and Glorious green Cardstock. I have been eyeing these colors up on the fashion magazines for a while, and finally just put them to use. I added alittle pink, which orginally was going to be a layer behind the Whisper White, but I never managed to cut it down, and noticed it while I was cleaning up... "oh look.. the pink!"... oh well. Since I am such a ribbon hoarder, I used this Orange polka dot printed ribbon.

I borrowed the stamp set Sweet Stems from a stamping buddy, in which I have given serious thought to purchasing myself... with the possibilities that is has! Just my luck, I will get it and it will retire. Oh well! I just dapped alittle Frosted Ice Stickles on the white part of the flower, after I markered the others with pink, orange, and green.

For the inside I managed to repeated the same flower, and just simply use my white gel pen, on the flower, which is on the lower right hand corner.

Its Birthday time!

So there are few birthdays arriving shortly... mine among the list, but I needed to get restocked at work, and at home. I needed some masculine type cards, and think I hit that with the design and the colors. Nothing out of the ordinary but Birthday cards for men!

I loved this ribbon - I love this ribbon so much I didn't want to use for anything but a masculine birthday card. I didn't know how I was going to incorporate the ribbon, but I like the way it turned out. Simple and basic, but yet, makes a masculine statement.

I really am to be working on a 50th birthday card for a friend in UK. I do not have the layout, or design or colors yet that I want... I mean, its her 50th birthday.... a big milestone... but as with everything else.. she's a simple gal.

Its that time of year again...

Where everyone in the office is red nosed, and carrying around a box of tissues. Cold/ flu season... I have to knock on wood, and count my blessings as I haven't been hit, this time around. My kids have alittle bit of it, but its almost over.

This stamp set is retired from SU! But I like it and get alot of use from it. I do not remember the actual name of the set, but its got this cute little band aid with it, that I use for OUCHY's... I have some scraps that I need to get used up and just threw this together. Simple but yet to the point. On the inside there's a slot that is the home of a soup packet. What you cannot really see, is the "Sorry to hear you are under the weather" sentiment that the camera didn't focus on.

I couldn't help myself... I am just too lazy to put the stamp set away and pull another one from the stash... but I managed a pink card and its not the end of the week!!! Aren't you proud?






In total I have 15 cards for the hospice. I have been trying to cover down on Get Well, Thinking of you, Birthday and a few thank you cards... I can be very thankful for my daughters swim team practices that are 1 1/2 hours long every evening, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to get some of this stuff done. You wouldn't believe the bag that I carry with me in order to make cards... and then if I run out of adhesive.. OH ITS NOT GOOD!!!!....



I know its hard to see, but I scalloped the edge and inserted green inside the card, and put about four of the flowers on the green paper.

Sitting on the fence.....

Its Thursday.... not only have I not done much in cardmarking than fold and cut another set, but I still have cards I can show you.. How do you like that??? This one I like so much that I have already made 10 of them.... might seem alittle crazy but so many birthdays are coming up in November, that if I forgot one, they may just have to get this card.... its neutral for anyone to receive... right??

When I look at this card front, you could add CELEBRATE, or HAPPY BIRTHDAY, but I left mine blank, so I could make it suitable for the recipient at that time.

Here I am again with Essence of Life, and trying to love it. Can you grow to love a stamp set? Maybe... I can say that the photo doesn't so it justice and the IRL you can see the glitter that I captured on the flowers and though their isn't a sentiment on it, I think I like it.

Simple but lovely

I didn't get to create thing but a mess this weekend in the bathroom with some of the remodelling that was done. But here are some more of the 10 minute Easy cards I made on Thursday night. I have a dozen or more projects going on in my head to put to paper, but haven't done it yet. With all hopes, this week will be the time.

Afterall, October is around the corner, and I have only gotten as far as getting my rubber out for some of the office Halloween treats...
