Coffee and Coral

 I may have told you before but I love the Calypso Coral... so when I say this dress, I was like OH MY HEAVENS! .. .who knows if I can even wear such a thing, but I would try!

So, no surprise when I saw this challenge! It was going to happen no matter what!

I love the Early Espresso tones with the Coral, its earthy, and just wows me!  I grabbed my Fun Flower die and some coffee filters and went to town. Then I used a dobber and inked it up. 

 

After putting the flowers together I added some glitter to the center and then rhinestones at the bottom to add just a touch more bling! 

  This technique is fun to do! And simple simple simple!

Day 7...Wine and Chocolate -- OH MY

I didn't think I met a more perfect wine, until I was introduced to DESSERT WINE... CHERRY .. THEN RASPBERRY .. OH MY GOSH!!! Whats the best part of the dessert wine? YOU ARE TO DRINK IT WHILE EATING CHOCOLATE!!!!!  OK, I am sold, I left the winery with 2 bottles of dessert wine, and a few of the others.. no more convincing needed on my end... I was sold! 

It makes the perfect little gift! Alittle dessert wine, some kisses ... yummy yummy! The next best thing would be if it all was calorie free!...

The wine listed below is from BLACK STAR FARMS, they are located in/or just outside of Traverse City, Michigan. Though I will not receive commissions {{darn!}} or anything special from them, I really just enjoy their wine... since I have been there three times, its safe to say I might know what I am talking about. ... {{wink wink}}.

It was extremely difficult to photograph these darn bottles... the test tube as well.  Sorry for the glare.

Eastern Blooms meets Chunky Glitter

CHUNKY GLITTER???? You may think you have read wrong, but that is right, I got the glitter going on ... and on purpose too! If you know me personally, I am not a glitter kind of gal, but I thought I would try it out... so when I was remaking this card here into some of the new Core Colors, I thought glitter would add another sparkly flare..

Gifts.. who doesn't like gifts?

I saw something like this... had to make it and now wish I wouldn't have started .. Its so simple, that anything goes... everything except for my bows that look great until I take my finger off them to take picture. Its was straight - I promise you!

This it a great idea.. its a present and a gift card holder all in one... HOW GREAT IS THAT? Its like "here is your card and your present at the same time" theory. Versitile for any occason, I just wanted to try the new ribbon out from the mini catty... I like it... alot!

Its pretty simple on the inside, since I didn't have an immediate use for it. I made some other colors for Birthday cards/gift card holders to have on hand.. since I multiple all I do by atleast 2 when I make them... just because at some point in time there is a moment where I hear the "Mom, I need..." and I know that I do not have time to put it all together in a snap... so I just whip the box out and allow them to make the decisions, while I mentally remember to make another to replace.. its an odd system, but it works for now... LOL

As I am about to sign off and leave you to do some other fabulous creating of your own, I need to put one final word out there. Today, here in the US, maybe even other parts of the world, we are celebrating Patriotic day... its today 8 years ago that we lost our hundreds of men and woman thru a 'planned attack'. I will not stand on my soap box, but its a day that brings me sadness for many reasons. Its beyond the lives lost that day, and the days following, but the obsorbant amount of lives that remain to be tested and defeated. I don my American Flag at half staff today, to honor all of those who have lost lives and fight for us to have our freedom, safety and protect us. Thank you.

Summer time = Watermelon time!

Finally the sun decided to shine and its been nice. I have enjoyed seeing what the sun looked like again. Its been a while since its shown its face! I was starting to worry since my garden needs some sunshine to grow, but without a doubt I am sure in a few days I will have to pull the hose over to the garden and have to water. But in the meantime, I found a great deal on watermelon and was cutting it down to bite sizes when it dawned on me.. A WATERMELON.. that represents summer... so after I consumed almost half of the seedless watermelon, I hurried to the craft room and attempted to put one together. Afterall, its WATER and a MELON, it cannot be that bad for you- now can it? Happy Summer!
