Rich Serene Snowflakes
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. ...
THE NORM OF TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLORS...
and you may be surprised with what your creative mind pulls together.. I was... and Happy all at the same time.. but heck, I have decorated my Christmas tree with Bermuda Bay & Melon ... so I can handle Non traditional colors.
How about RIch Razzleberry Snowflakes? ..
I used Perfect Plum & Eggplant as two other colors with the Rich Razzleberry. I used the Northern Frost Decorative Strip (Big Shot) for the hanging snowflake.Tuesday, December 22, 2009
Coral kind of Christmas
My challenge.. use Coral CS & Ink.. my daughters challenge... on a Christmas card!
GAME ON
I mixed the Coral with light grey and silver... and I love it! I wasn't sure about it at first, but it adds come elegance to the fact that its a christmas card. As a matter of fact, it screams out to me to be the card I am giving my grandmother! I was beginning to think my daughter just wanted me out in the craft cave so her and her brother wouldn't be bothered! They are like that I am finding out.. distract mom so she doesn't see .. A B or C.. LOL.. they are teens so I guess it goes with the age!
This second card - I had to let the ribbon dry since I used the coral ink and inked up the ribbon - so as easy as this card looks it was just a smidgen longer to make since I did the ribbon. Again, happy with the coral color. For depth, I added rhinestones to a few of the snowflakes. IRL they are shinier.Stamps: Serene Snowflakes, Four the Seasons
CS: Coral, Grey and Silver
Ink: Coral, Grey, White
Snowflake punch, silver ribbon, white ribbon turned coral, rhinestones
Thank you for stopping by. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this color combo.
Happy Holidays!

Looking alittle like Christmas
Just a few examples of some of my recent Christmas/ Holiday cards. I decided I would try to keep up with those gals at Late Night Stampers and do the Challenge of 12 days of Christmas. They really know how to put a spark in your butt to get things completed! Wish they would have been around when its painting time around the house! LOL
Blue Holiday Wishes

This again, is the Merry Moments DSP that I really have mixed emotions whether I like or it just annoys me! I used crystal effects on the snowflakes that I punched out, and added the pearl to. I think it POPS!

Aqua Snowflakes...?
I have recently needed to do a paper clean out... some of the paper was old and I never used it anymore - because at one time "I was a paper hoarder"... after my 12 step program - I can say it and do something about it. This aqua paper, is such a fun summer color, but why not match it with some silver, pop a few snowflakes on it and be done with it? Its simple and fun!!! I have a few rhinestones I might attach later and give it more attention. I did dip the gray snowflake in glitter but the picture doesn't reflect that much!
I picked the Aqua color paper for a fun factor... and I was inspired after my recent mailing of a new hat. And many thanks to my new friend Brooke, http://www.hookernextdoor.com/, for the great butterfly cap in turquoise! My daughter fell in love with it as well, and at 12, that means its great! She's got some wonderful handmade goodies! Thanks for supporting our troops too!Have a great Friday!

its begining to look alot like.. Christmas??
Its November, the time I say every year I will have my Christmas shopping done before Tthanksgiving. I cannot deal with the rude shoppers, thank goodness I get most of mine done online. However for those 'odd and ends' that force me to stores, I need to get it completed by then. THANKFULLY, I am on the home stretch! Of course their is a birthday that is coming up that I must shop for... but STILL!!!
I can relax alittle and get some Christmas cards done. I wish you could see the shiny glitter in this picture however, after 4 shots and it wasn't showing up... you will have to use your imagination to see it!
I have some cleaning up to do, and found pieces that I was able to use here. I like the Not so Navy with the silver and grey. Its the sentiment I had to work in that I am not 'crazy about'.
Thanks for looking! Have a great day!!!
