Fluttering by

Its one of those days where you go, "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm what is up today"... of course its Thursday, and my teens have a long weekend due to the holiday on Monday {{lucky}}.

 In the meantime, I am using them for my color combinations.  My daughter found this piece of art {someplace online - sorry I cannot give website credit}

I went for a different texture than the picture, but again, I was using it for colors. Choosing the bolder of the hues was a great plan as well!

I used the butterflies from Kindness Matters, cut them out, and added a bit of bling to them.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Heartfelt Thanks

When I am stuck on color combinations, I have a variety of places I seek colors... putting any color challenges aside - I reach for my SU! Color Coach or My Create Ink. When I have scraps laying around this is highly recommended to get you "out of the box" ... and I love it!

This color comb actually comes from the SU! Color Coach, and though I hesitated for a moment - I do like the way it came together!

I have always been a fan of Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise - but never really thought to put them together. Then add a splash of Pear Pizzazz.. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?

I pulled out the new Framlets, from Stampin Up!, and then used the Elements of Style blooms in Pear. I used the Hodgepodge Happiness for the sentiment - since I never used them before. I must have punched a million {{insert exaggeration here}} flowers  to find one that I liked best.  Then I needed to match a circle punch, for the sentiment - which was 1 1/2 inch worked great!

Maybe I should have put more turquoise on the front, but I made up for it in the middle. This still allows writing of sorts, just not really a full sentiment - and I am trying to be better at inside sentiments! Slowly ladies.. slowly!

Where do you go when you need some color inspiration? Do you depend on color challenges on the web?  Do you have favorites that you  never step away from?  Tell me... I want to hear from you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Just for YOU...a BIG Wish!

When you just need a little something... to make someone feel special....

These test tubes will do it!

All sorts of items to be nestled in the tube for enjoyment. The Smarties were my way of pulling colors together for a card. It also helped that the recipient LOVES THEM!!!

The test tube measures 10 inches tall, which equals 3 sleeves of Smarties - just in case you needed to know. I used textured Rich Razzleberry & Tempting Turquoise DSP with a hint of Pear Pizzazz. Added alittle bling & wah la ! great gift combo!!!

Totally Turquoise Tuesday

I have always been a fan of turquoise. It reminds me of the ocean, the beach, and anything that represents summer.

When you pair it with a bright like Only Orange (retiring), you have to put your sunglasses on to view it.

Today is Totally Turquoise Tuesday- please reach for your sunglasses...

I used the Birthday Bliss - Cake stamp and highlighted two spots. I like the layout, but wish the picture would show it off better.

I textured the Turquoise CS with the small polka dots in the Big Shot. I used circle punches for the Orange and the Kraft.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Tuesday!

Bright color flowers - just add sunshine.. I mean ink!

Yes its another Just Add Ink color challenge!

I had a few visions, but I knew I only had limited time left, before the challenge was over!!!
HOORAY, THERE IS ONE MORE DAY LEFT!!!

This is what I came up with:

Its a Tempting Turquoise base card, with a So Saffron topper that not only is textured with the Daisies textured plate (Big Shot), but I used a scrapbooking template to put a curve on the saffron! I added flower blooms in the other colors using the Boho Blossoms punch. It came together fast and I like it! I did add alittle bling to the top & bottom corners and added a sentiment from FYI stamp set!

Please enjoy! Come over and play with us! Thanks for stopping by!

Turquoise snowflake

Getting to post some of the treats that have been recently received is just too exciting! My daughter has been helpful in the craft cave lately, I guess its mother daughter time I should enjoy though I secretly cannot help that at 12 she isn't up to something! LOL..

We put together some goody treats for her friends. Of course, I get to take her idea and put it on paper for her to yah or nah -- then we work well to get it done. We had 12 bags to do. She worked on the bag while I gave her two suggestions for her cards. They were 3 1/2 square cards to go with the treats. With her "antsyness" we tend to remain in the punch world... and I liked this idea.. simple - easy and fast to mass produce.

These are the treat bags, though I was 'getting too involved' she slid down to the other table and made tags, tied the ribbons up- but I was like..

"WHOA!!!.. Whats the green tags doing with the turquoise snowflakes??"...
Her 12 yo answer was ... "because I can"..
Nuff said.
l... it wasn't until later I wanted to grab them and make other tags .. but that makes these more Colette ish. So I didn't... but wanted to every time I looked at them...

Now she better get back to the snowmen making.. ha ha .. kidding!

Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, White, Grey
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
SU! Snowflake punch, Marvy snowflake punch, rhinestone

**Chocolate Covered Pretzels are in the bags with some Peppermints.

Rainbow Sherbet

The thought of rainbow sherbet makes me think I should be ten and riding my bike at the shore, heading towards the bell of the ice cream truck. I know I have bought it for my own kids, but I cannot remember the last time I say with a bowl of it for myself. Oh the joys of reminiscing... or is it pains?

The Rainbow Sherbet paper is so cheery and reminds you of those days.. though it didn't make me run to the store to get some. I did put some brighter cards together, that can be used as a gift card holders, and were not by any means, hard. I actually was liking them so much I made 6 of them! I have some busy summer months coming up with birthdays, so we will use them quickly.

inside:

I am not sure what I like more, the tempting turquiose or the green galore that I used. And as usual, I located my TT ribbon when I was completed with the card.. oh well.. guess I will have to make more.
