HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!

You may recall Ren and Stimpy... cartoon characters that ran around saying "HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY"... well that is the sort of mood that close of the work week has given me! .. and receiving some very good news as well.

First lets get to the HAPPY CARD

I love the crisp look of the River Rock (which I am super glad I can use my hidden stash again) with the Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist. I used the Vintage Vogue Stamp set with Whimscial Words sentiment to add just alittle saying. I cut out the flowers that are in River Rock and Marina Mist. I punched out a circle in Cherry Cobbler and then put Crystal Effects on it to make it pop.

I am so proud of this card.. even my 14 yo son gave it TWO THUMBS UP!!! WAHOOOO!!!

... as for the good news.. well.. it look like this time in July, my soldier and I wont have to SKYPE to see one another.. if you know what I mean!!!!!

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!!

Happiness Always... twice

I have a touch of OCD... where I cannot even leave my craft cave without making two cards and cleaning up the desk .. not a bad thing RIGHT? Well, sometimes it has its moments ... and when the mojo is down.. I get so mad at myself that I cannot enjoy my creations. However, I CASED this layout from another card one I made a while ago. It was hanging on my Card tree on the shelf and just begged to be redone. So I did... twice

Here is card Number 1:

Then I spruced it up alittle after I was done and walked away... Just adding an element made me like it more.

Card Number 2:

Ingredients:
Tropical Oasis, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, So Saffron CS;
Whimsical Words Stamps;
Felt flower, oval punch, eyelet punch, so saffron ribbon, silver brads,
Small dots BG Textured plate

Thank you and have a great weekend!!

Fifth Avenue for a 53rd birthday

Not that I actually thought about it when I was creating it.. but this card goes to a co worker (friend) that turns 53 today...

I used the mico beads on the flowers that I handcut. I am not sure if using glue dots will keep them on, but I did make a mess of things when using them... Oh its part of the fun when papercrafting RIGHT? I did try some more paper piercing around the circles as well.

I found this color combo after the challenge was over, but kept it for future use.. and I am pleased with the turn out!

Ingredients:
Stamps: 5th avenue floral, Whimsical Words
CS: SoSaffron, Rose Red, White
Ink: Black, Rose Red, So Saffon
Brads, Microbeads, circle punches, Paper Piercing

Thanks for stopping by!

Clean and Simple

It feels like SPRING!!!

Did someone forward the calendar to 20 March?

I will take this spring like weather, I am missing my flower gardens! I did receive two gorgeous flower arrangements for my birthday, so it does have alittle "springtime" flare in the house already! HOORAY for that!

With that said, todays card:

Ingredients: CS: Melon textured, Retired DSP; Stamps: Whimsical Words; Punches: scallop oval, wide oval, 5 petal, corner rounder; Melon ribbon & rhinestones.

Never more than a thought away..

This Shades of Spring DSP is becoming a quick favorite of mine! I love all the colors even thought I have only used one sheet! I mixed it with Melon and Celery- added some brads, ribbon and then punched the edges of the layered paper.

I call this my Carole'Anne card !!! I hope you like it!
