Aqua Snowflakes...?

I have recently needed to do a paper clean out... some of the paper was old and I never used it anymore - because at one time "I was a paper hoarder"... after my 12 step program - I can say it and do something about it. This aqua paper, is such a fun summer color, but why not match it with some silver, pop a few snowflakes on it and be done with it? Its simple and fun!!! I have a few rhinestones I might attach later and give it more attention. I did dip the gray snowflake in glitter but the picture doesn't reflect that much!

I picked the Aqua color paper for a fun factor... and I was inspired after my recent mailing of a new hat. And many thanks to my new friend Brooke, http://www.hookernextdoor.com/, for the great butterfly cap in turquoise! My daughter fell in love with it as well, and at 12, that means its great! She's got some wonderful handmade goodies! Thanks for supporting our troops too!

Have a great Friday!

Flip flop and you don't stop...

OFFICIALLY FINALLY SUMMER ... weather and calendar tell me so.. .HOORAY!!
****
If I am not in my bare feet, I am in flip flops... isn't everyone? Like mother like daughter, I believe that my daughter & I wear them until the snow flies... and sometimes after that, I know we try.

So here is my sketch of a flip flop for a card... best used as an invite, but I like it. Its rough - but then again, it was almost midnight when I finally got an acceptable template created.

And yes I did create a left and right foot template!

Aren't they fun!!! Thanks for looking!

Have a great summer!!

Its beginning to look alot like...

VALENTINES DAY!!!
I am hopeless romantic- I like all the stuff we laugh about.. splashing in raindrops, long walks on the beach, splitting sandwiches at the bistro and delis....all of it. I have learned over the years, that is more about what I can give others than what I get in return... sounds like a lesson I should have learned at another time.. but I digress....
I got the chance to stamp this weekend - it was my me time that I was very happy about. Just do not ask what time that was happening! It was nice to get the fingers inky - and boy let me tell you I was happy to get some old rubber out and play. I wanted some valentines for the office crew, different ones for the kids and a very special one for my love of my life. I didn't get the one for the love of my life completed, and got the sketches done for the kids, who would rather have chocolate, so I had to incorporate it as well... I got the ideas, now I have to make sure I have the CS to complete. Here are some of my goodies!

Life 's fairytale

I wanted to use colors that were alittle more "manly" for an engagement, wedding, or whatever card... cause you never know when you need one. I also looked thru all my textured templates and wanted to put texture on the solid brown- but I didn't find what I wanted.. so I left it go.

I think the buttons give a more masculine feel to the card, since there is no glitter, ribbon, bows, etc.

Another look at Tile Technique....

So I thoughtI would try again that TILE Technique that I tried earlier. I am getting better... I better I have to make about 10 cards with this technique.... I didn't put a sentiment on the card, since it was my draft, but I was hoping for SYMPATHY cards..... we shall see... must perfect the technique first!!!
