Lots of Dots

This inspiration was from the Late Night Stampers group I belong to! I love the colors, and that tiny little lamb on the top is just too cute! I debated on my card, however, I still have time for card #2!

Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group

I recently picked up a Paper Creations magazine, and noticed that these little goest are all the rage!  I really think they really are cute, but alittle time consuming since I have to adhere every dot, one way or another! But I love the outcome!

I imiatated the bow as well. Big floppy loops!  Of course, the colors couldn't be prettier either... Pinks and Browns.. that is a way to a girls heart!  perfect for birthday, bridal shower, baby shower too!

Have a great day!

Birthday Bakery ..chocolates

I must confess, that being a chunky monkey that I am, I limit myself to only a few indulgences... one of them is.. Ferrero Rocher chocolates... seriously - I am not sure if I have brain washed myself to believing that the hazelnuts makes it a 'healthy treat' or what.. but I cannot keep them in the house .. of course with two teenagers, I cannot keep anything in the house!

So with that being said - can you imagine the shock the family went thru when these were in the house for 5 solid days before being decorated, wrapped up and then shipped to their recipient? I know. I ONLY bought the 3 pack.. and it all left... even without me sniffing the paper! {{wink wink}}

Here is the cute little holder for the chocolates:

The cute little card I made to go with the chocolates

and the Duo together:

I used PINKs ... why? A few reasons... the recipient is a 12 year Breast Cancer survivor...YEA YEA YEA!!! and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, it only seemed fitting!

Ingredients: Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Confetti White; Stamps: Birthday Bakery; scalloped border punch, boho blossoms punch, white brads, colored pencils, blender pen, Melon Mambo Ribbon, tag punch

IA122- Better late than never!

Ok, so I have been absent for a alittle longer than I thought.. but what is that saying.. "When it rain it pours?".. I am not yet back 100% but please bear with me, I will get there. The sun is shining and spring is in the air.

Here was my card for Gretchen Barron's Inspiration in Action Challenge 122 , which I missed posting for.

I used marker on the Upsy Daisy stamp and then a light mist of water before applying it to the paper, to give the water painting look.

Ingredients: Stamp - Upsy Daisy, Whimsical Words; CS- Pomegranate, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Whisper White, Shades of Spring DSP; So Saffron Ribbon; scalloped edge punch, circle punches; dimensionals

Thank you for using more Designer Paper...

As you know, one of my 'issues' is not using enough designer paper. So I had a few Thank you cards that I was to make and of course wanted to use the jumbo eyelets that I have been eying up for some time.... so I came up with this.

The inside has designer paper on it- which I did compose my thank you message on, but it was light enough. The only trick I had was using a pen that would write on it.. but I blame the pen and not the paper (wink wink) since I am sure they are old and I need new ones (wink wink)

I know its been a while since I have posted. I have limited days left until my sweetie deploys - so I have been spenting every moment I can with him... HE EVEN WENT GROCERY SHOPPING WITH ME... so I guess it is L-O-V-E.. ha ha. Its my first true deployment and not military school - so its different for me, however, with all the stuff on my 'honey do' list, I will be kept busy for the most part of the year plus hes gone. I do believe hardily he will return before we know it and life will continue as is.

God Bless all the soldiers/sailors for their hard work and giving us our freedom.

I love Cherry Chapstick...

... Just kidding... I am not a fan of any flavor chapsticks or lip gloss, just want them shiny and smooth! Isn't that their purpose? One might say I am alittle crazy about it. I have lipgloss at work, in the car, in every purse I have and on the night stand. Crazy? maybe a little.... shhhh... do not tell!

I 'had to have' this stamp, when I saw it. Perfect for many friends on different occasions. Then never used it for months and while I did a quick sweep of cleaning the craft cave, I came upon it and stopped. I had to ink it up and use it!!! Cleaning up can wait!

One of my recent observations is that I do not use half the designer paper or printed paper that I own. So I incorporated it in the scheme of things. The So Saffron has a flower print on it but you cannot really see it in the picture - but i know its there!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a good day!!

Hand in Hand or Far Apart

You are on my mind and in my heart"

I had to clean my table area up.. get rid of some items that were just clogging up space and get re organized. I should have known that when I even attempted to get near the craft table, I would sit and create, or revisit what was laying around... I forgot about this cute little pink and brown card I made in hope I would remember a Challenge on SCS- for CAS card (Clean and Simple).

I didn't remember, but I wanted to show it off. I got alittle carried away with the stickles, but if I recall, I believe I was having difficulties with the bottle of it... nonetheless, its pretty enough for me to want to zip it in the mail.

The Stickles pretty it up- but maybe alittle too much Stickles on this delicate flower! I popped it up and like the clean look.

Inside it says "Miss you"

One of a kind?

I haven't done much with Vellum, but I am trying. So I wanted to soften a design that I prestamped months ago, when I borrowed this stamp set. I am not sure if I am won over by this design, but it was interesting. I had to figure out how I was going to attach it, so my cardstock is long enough that it wraps around the vellum, so you cannot see the glue. Easy peasy. No glitter, no sparkle, maybe that is what it needs.... still a work in progress....

Thanks for looking!

Boxes of Chocolate!!!

OK, so when I first looked at this tutorial, I was thinking... the boxes were bigger... then I made them and they are too damn cute!!!! Easy peasy!!!
I got the tutorial off the Splitcoaststampers and honestly think this may have been easier than the matchbox candies I recently did.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Its beginning to look alot like...

VALENTINES DAY!!!
I am hopeless romantic- I like all the stuff we laugh about.. splashing in raindrops, long walks on the beach, splitting sandwiches at the bistro and delis....all of it. I have learned over the years, that is more about what I can give others than what I get in return... sounds like a lesson I should have learned at another time.. but I digress....
I got the chance to stamp this weekend - it was my me time that I was very happy about. Just do not ask what time that was happening! It was nice to get the fingers inky - and boy let me tell you I was happy to get some old rubber out and play. I wanted some valentines for the office crew, different ones for the kids and a very special one for my love of my life. I didn't get the one for the love of my life completed, and got the sketches done for the kids, who would rather have chocolate, so I had to incorporate it as well... I got the ideas, now I have to make sure I have the CS to complete. Here are some of my goodies!

Bite me... I mean birthday ...

A friend of mine has asked for some birthday cards. Simple cards... for all sex and age.

So I thought of taking this Birthday Whimsy - and try a few layouts and colors for the 'challenge'. She didn't give me a deadline, but she is using them as part of her 'girlfriends gathering' in December. I have some funny sentiments I can include in them and on them. I want to see how many of those candles I can put on that cake.. for a milestone birthday!!!

Any ideas are surely welcome! I will have to work on these on the sly, or over lunch, since my stamping stuff is put away - while the painter is still here. So we shall see. I know that I can kick a bunch of them out in no time- so its getting all my supplies in order for the task... I mean 'challenge'.

Happiness Always...

Did you miss me yesterday? .... first I look at the clock and see its 8:24 and then the next time I got to breath it was 16:45. WOW-time flies when you are so freaking busy you need almost a hall pass to use the restroom. The day started with a very important message from the COO, appointed Jan1 to CEO, of the company that I work FT for. It lasted 3 .5 hours.... my butt hurt, I drank so much water and coffee that if I sneezed, the flood gates would have chased everyone out of the meeting room. BUT it was too much like a "STATE OF THE UNION" address for me to take the opportunity to leave, go and then return. So I didn't.

And as you know - when you return from a meeting that is that lengthy, you cannot just tear into work like normal.... you run around getting little bits done but never accomplishing much at all.... so fast forward to making dinner, getting daughter to swimming, cranking the braces on the son, carving pumpkins, baking apple crisp for the Fall Festival my department is having over lunch today.. and then remembering... you never hit HOME DEPOT to choose a color of paint for the bathroom, or kitchen... oh for the love of pete! ... but I got to do the dance of joy when the Phillies won the World Series, since honestly, I do not remember then winning in the 80's - mostly due to the fact that I probably didn't know the concept of baseball at that age... LOL...

So to share in the Happiness for Phillies fans around... here's a HAPPINESS ALWAYS card... working on that PINK color...see....
. I haven't used the background set in forever, and almost forgot about it. but I think it gives the card a little bit of something extra.
There is a sheer white ribbon that is added, though you cannot see it well in the photo.

Have a great day !!!

Tickled Pink Tuesday

WOW- so much today ... lets see..First of all, my dad is celebrating a milestone birthday!!!We celebrated over the weekend with Brunch at my house.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPS!!!

My son got his braces on today... we were ther for hours... I mean it... but all in all I think I am in more than pocketbook pain.. I get to turn the expander for the next 14 days! Have I mentioned that he is going thru the big "P".... you parents know what that is.... happens anywhere between the ages of 12-16... HA HA

I got this PINK card to show off. ITS ONLY TUESDAY!!!! Its a fun stamp set... and I think I have used this most... i embossed the circle with a glitter powder for some sparkle. I actually pulled this out, when I remembered the painter was arriving and I wasn't going to have access to my stamp goodies for one solid week.

Yes, as I mentioned, the painter is coming next week, and my stuff had to be boxed up and toted out to storage for the week!!! I am going thru withdrawl...but the end result is I will have a freshly painted house that includes my own craft space... so I guess its a trade off...

Well thanks for checkin in....

Enough of the Upsy...?

I couldn't help myself... I am just too lazy to put the stamp set away and pull another one from the stash... but I managed a pink card and its not the end of the week!!! Aren't you proud?

In total I have 15 cards for the hospice. I have been trying to cover down on Get Well, Thinking of you, Birthday and a few thank you cards... I can be very thankful for my daughters swim team practices that are 1 1/2 hours long every evening, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to get some of this stuff done. You wouldn't believe the bag that I carry with me in order to make cards... and then if I run out of adhesive.. OH ITS NOT GOOD!!!!....

I know its hard to see, but I scalloped the edge and inserted green inside the card, and put about four of the flowers on the green paper.

You didn't think I was going to forget PINK did you?

I was finishing up a explosion box for a birthday and remembered I needed PINK, its Friday! I could only use what I had at my fingertips, since I needed to head to bed. I liked the glittery dresses for the ladies, and added more purple ribbon this morning, when I was making kids breakfasts.

Pink as promised

As promised, here is another pink card. I have wanted to use this stamp for a long time. I like the stamp, and the others that are along this line. I used some transparencies that my coworker gave me, to give some detail...

It was during Greys- I couldn't get too fancy- but I am pleased with the layout.

Thank you for looking!

HOPE for a cure....

In honor of the October being Breast Cancer Month, I would to present a pink card a week.
Anyone that knows me, will be shocked to see that I even have PINK cardstock... but come on, I have a daughter who rides up and down on a "whether or not PINK is cool or not" roller coaster! LOL. So I have to have some shades of the color, and there are enough out there I can live with. With the "hope" that soon a cure is found, or that more people have better "awareness" of cancer, I will donate my cards to a local hospice.

I actually believe this card might be a year old... I found it in my stash recently and was like.. OH its almost October. Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
