Its a B-O-Y!!!

 No, I AM NOT PREGNANT
However, I did find out someone else is expecting... and they are having a boy!

Why not some baby boy goodies? WAHOOO!!!!

I wrapped Washi tape on the bottles of water, along with tags using Label Love. I attached ribbon to a mug and then made a BOY banner and attached with bakers twine on two little skinny dowels.

A simple little bag for favors with the old sentiment about little boys!

I am excited for the expecting couple. At five months and they are now letting people know.. it wont be long til the bundle is here!!

Have a great day! Hug the ones you love! Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet little Baby Boy...

So I am putting a close on some of the baby stuff for a while... well maybe..

Just needed something FUN... and not so BABY like for their card.  This just has a tad of BABY in it, and some cool tye dye looking technique, with big loud buttons!

Goes perfect with their non-tradtional gift. Here is part of it that I have RUNDbaby to thank- Melissa- you are the best!

This is a Diaper Clutch, which not only provides you with the cloth to lay a baby on to change, but a pocket for a few diapers, wipes and lotion. It folds up so nice and tight, PLUS its washable!!!!  Next is a Bandana Bib... ties around the babyneck like a bandana... very cool and I really hope they like it.  I put these two gifts in with a Thermal Tote that is Black Polka Dot  (thirtyone bag). So the bottles can go in there with water for mom, dad, or whatever else for the family! Plus, Dad won't be embarrassed to tote it around since its not all baby themed!
  Somethinsg alittle unique!

Rocking Horse

I haven't really used the Stocking die, for the Big Shot, until recently.  I know that its uses are endless. Besides the obvious, creating stockings, and shoes, I loved the thought of a rocking horse. With all these babies coming into the world soon, I figure it may be helpful to have something on hand to put a gift card on for those "OH NO!"{gasp!} moments.

So here it is, with bridle and all.

Of course during the snapping of pictures, I blew a bulb in my craft cave. So I do apologize for the tone change in the pictures.

Yes, how ironic that my only gift card in the home right now is for a car wash!
I did have to use 2 tops of the stocking to secure the paper that holds the gift card.

I will definately be making a few more of these... maybe there is a horse lover in the family ...

Monkeyin' around!

A few days ago, I was wallowing in pity... we all have moments like this right?  So, I spent 2 hours with the radio cranked to the point the shelves were rattling and waited to see if the law enforcements were going to check on the house... but I needed to get out of the funk... so I DANCED! and DANCED. and DANCED!!

I put this card together in 3 stages. Planning, punching and adhering the pieces!

This is a 5x7 card so it could be framed. Maybe in a bedroom for a child. Or classroom.

BABY BABY BABY

I am going to really date myself .. but this weekend was a concert in the local area with not ONE but TWO bands that were HUGE when I was teen! Not that I was a HUGE FAN, but I did however crush on them alittle. More so now as an adult, as they mature with me. I recently was just reminded of their ages and looking at them I go... REALLY? They ARE my age! (or close to my age anyway)..

Oh my....  I had to laugh because the ages to these shows were from 8-80, all types of people and from all kinds of places.  Of course, it helped that they performed on the SWEETEST PLACE ON EARTH!

So where was I going with all this... ???  I guess I have hit the era where all the friends are having babies. And those that may have had babies when I did, some are having them again...  OH MY !!!!

BABY BABY BABY!!!!!

I decided that the phase of Baby onesie was something I never did last year, and so I finally made one.. but turned it into a favor for a baby shower. They are easy to make and with the few free hand directions I had written down, I was able to make a collection of them in no time.  Yes, of course there is a template out there in Google, but I do not do well with templates, since I cannot seem to cut on the lines!

So off woth my measurements, and scissors I went. When I got to the final touches, I had to remember a few things... onesies have snaps on the bottom and usually trim about the neck.

I loved the DSP I used. So that you can see the different patterns as you look at them.  I filled them with different goodies, however did have to use the larger/taller bags so they would sit better.

Bouncing Baby... boy...

A friend of mine, who move lives in Michigan, recently had a baby boy! HORRAY!!!!
At 38 weeks, it was obvious that this child she was caring was reaching 10 lb!   TEN POUNDS!!!!
I would love to say I was shocked however this is child number 2 for her, and her first child was merely that same weight... so no surprise, however this child was busting out where ever it could... creating bodily harm to her.. so out comes baby boy

Welcome to the world Thomas Joseph - aka TJ!
CONGRATS  to Jolene & Rick!!!

Before I knew she was having a boy, I was in the midst of baby cards with this little fun stamp, Elebration...

I made  few of the same cards changing out the colors - with the new In Colors from SU!  I kept it clean and simple, just adding some brads, DSP and lightly shading in the elephant.

BEAR HUGS

WHEW!! I am really glad the weekend is over... who EVER says that? ... Well, I am. I am ready to conquoer another week... and make it a positive one!

I managed to get a few things out creatively, over the weekend. Which I think I need. Its really is my way of dealing with stress. I honestly believe it! Its no wonder NOT ONE CHILD bothered me when I went to the craft cave to get a few things accomplished!

Creative Sketches
HUGS! Everyone needs them! I think I have given out more hugs this weekend then I have in the last 5 months! It was all good! From the hugs for those that needed them due to the flooding, but also the 9/11 rememberance 10 years later! I did get sucked into some TV watching all the memorial services and such.

I haven't used the Bear Hugs set, so I brushed it off. I wanted to keep it simple. I used the Tasteful Trims die in Basic Grey for the scalloped edge and the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder on Peach Parfait. The Cherry Cobbler was spritzed with Vanilla Smooch,  but you cannot see that from the photo.  I colored the bear in with a Aquabrush  and the ink pads.

He is such a cute guy! I think he can be used for either gender. I have noticed that lately my baby cards have been alittle less gender oriented, unless I know the outcome is.

Thank you for stopping by!

In Flight

I promise these are the last of the butterflies for a while. ... ok maybe I should not make that promise.. but I will try.. to wait for a little while... I cannot quite seem to get into the Easter bunny making theme yet! I guess it will come to me - or not!  I have seen plenty of items for inspiration.

Doesn't this look SOFT? I mean - that fuzzy bunny made me want to crawl back under my blanket with a book and read, afterall, its been crazy raining with occasional sunshine around here lately!  It begged me play along with them at Stampin' Celebration

I really wanted to create SOFT.. I wanted to have the look of clean too! ... so my take is this:

Concentrating on the GREEN & PINK against the WHITE cardstock gave a look that I can use for many types of occasions.  In the meantime, I couldn't stop thinking about that bunny's BLUE ribbon... it was SHINY and calling my name... so I made one last card for it... of course, I had to use the butterfly embosslit AGAIN!!!...

Welcome!

I couldn't resist, for this pretty little girl card, using the brown with it. Its dreamy looking, isn't it?
I used the butterfly punch to add alittle three dimensional look to the card. The texture on the brown cardstock is just enough to make you touch it! And the finishing touches of the new satin ribbon by SU! in pink! PERFECT!!!

I added the pearls on the butterly punch and the sentiment punch to complete the dainty look of the card. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Ingredients: CS- Chocolate Brown, Pink Pirouette; Stamps- Sweet sentiments; Ink- Close to cocoa; pearls, butterfly punch, oval punch, silver gel pen

On the wild side!!!

Summer of 2008.... Cousin's baby shower.... what to do, what to do???... one idea another, the shower gets postponed... she is taken to the hospital.... days go by... she is going to have this baby weeks before due date.... original shower time has now past, and we wait to hear again, when it would be held.... I know that she is anticipating a boy, and she is registered with the jungle theme... HOORAY.. I can try out the SUP Wild... something stamp set! I know that I will have another mass production so I only do Thank you cards, but in the middle of the thank you card idea, I decide on a door hanger... I wanted to do some stamping on a few bibs or onesies, but I had a time issue at hand... oh well, next time.

I think the little gift basket came out well. I did manage one store bought item, only because I have a few friends who love them, and it was a frame with the side for a foot print or hand print of the child... I like it. I wrapped it in a cake box, with tissue paper, ribbons, and I have to say... when I got my thank you card from her, and saw how delighted she was that she didn't have to go buy them, it tickled me pink.... I mean.. made me happy... {{wink wink}}
